Willy probably only has 3 people on the Avs board not muted by this point.

Pretty sure he muted me last year, or at least threatened to.

Yeah, charges were dropped because she was unwilling to testify. Should be noted her identity was leaked during the trial multiple times and she received death threats. And that wasn't even count how hard the defense team went after the woman's character and mental state.

At about 38 minutes Tina Fey goes off.

Jeudy to the Browns for a 5th and 6th round pick...

If you had traded him when you should've, you could've gotten a 2nd rounder. Most incompetent team ever! Unless you follow baseball.
What a f***ing bust that POS ended up being. I wouldn't be surprised if he has the most drops per attempts in Broncos franchise history. Why can't the Broncos find another Rod Smith?

He can't catch, and has the maturity of a 7th grader. Total bust of a 1st round pick.

Some dark days are coming....

f*** Russell Wilson and George Paton. The damage these 2 have caused will take 15 years to undo and quite frankly it might not ever get back to championship level.

Simmons, Jeudy are guys I wanted out of here because their attitudes stink and are guys you don't win with but it couldn't have been more mismanaged if they tried.

This franchise is f***ed, and it's going to be a long time before we see any success.

Jeudy I agree with. Why didn’t you like Simmons?

To clarify my statement on Simmons it applies anyone who was a supposed "leader" on the roster the last 5 or so years.

You can blame coaching, upper management all you want they also deserve blame. But it also falls on the players. The player culture at Dove Valley was that of losers. The players have to put in the time and care enough about the product and they simply don't. They just want paychecks. That falls on the player leadership core. Simmons is a big part of that core and absolutely perpetuated a shitty lazy culture that didn't give two f***s about losing.

Simmons wasn't the only player that needed to be shown the door. Simmons, Jeudy, Wilson, Bolles are the worst offenders.

I'm glad to see these type guys being shown the door. I don't care how talented they are. It's about time they took Clorox to the team and are trying to wipe it clean. Got to start over completely with guys who actually give a shit about winning and the product on the field.

I mean this is just silly. The guy gave his all every single week and was one of the only players to do so consistently. He cared about winning in Denver, too.

This is like saying after 16-17 the Avs needed to wash themselves of Landeskog, MacKinnon, Rantanen, etc because they didn't care about winning.

Jeudy and Wilson hate is fine. Simmons is very different.

That leaves Garrett Bolles as the longest tenured Bronco.

Longest tenured guys in town by team:
2011 - Charlie Blackmon (Rockies; drafted in 2008)
2011 - Gabriel Landeskog (Avalanche; drafted in 2011)
2012 - Joey Cupido (Mammoth; drafted in 2011)
2015 - Nikola Jokic (Nuggets; drafted in 2014)
2017 - Garrett Bolles (Broncos; drafted in 2017)
2019 - Keegan Rosenberry (Rapids; traded for in late 2018)

Even in his farewell letter, this man apologized for not being able to get us back into the post season.

There was and is a lot of bums with the wrong attitude on the Broncos, but Simmons was absolutely not one of them.

Don't buy it for 1 second. It's easy to put words on a social media post. Guarantee the guy will sign with the highest bidder not at his best chance of winning.

This core of players was trash and he was part of it.

And if that's what he wants to prioritize, then good for him. He still didn't need to apologize to Broncos fans for not making the playoffs. The guy is a class act all the way. Part of doing all the right things, is saying the right things. He played the right way, he said the right things, he was great for the community, and I've never heard 1 bad thing (other than from you) about his leadership.

You are more than allowed to have your opinion, as I'm allowed to have mine.

Didn't care for him, found him to be sort of a politician, says what people want to hear, never got any real results. But people love him because he says what they want hear. I just didn't buy what he was saying.

I honestly believe that moving on from all these veteran leaders is absolutely the best thing moving forward. Simmons was just part of that bunch of guys.

I’m not arguing about Bolles—never been a fan of that guy. Same with Jeudy. But it seems silly to just lump Simmons in there with them by default. Only so much one defensive back can do on a crap team with crap coaching and crap management with a shithead de facto owner (Ellis) going out of his way to poison every process.

Of course you're allowed your opinion, Chet. But it does seem a bit harsh.

Sometimes good players end up on bad teams. They play well, but the team isn't good. I mean, was Barry Sanders a chump because his team stunk for most of his career?

There are so many examples of this. The best hockey example I can think of offhand, is Marcel Dionne. He was one great offensive player on some damn bad hockey teams.
