Doesn’t Chicago have Carolina’s 1st round pick?
Exactly, hence why they have no reason to tank. They just have a horrible roster. The Saints played a terrible game and still beat them by 22, it's that bad. Arizona has a bad roster but found a way to win 3 games so far. That's about the ceiling for a bad roster. You think the Broncos have weak spots? These teams have black holes at some positions.

Everyone that wants to cut Wilson next year, what do you propose they do at QB next season? They don't have a high enough pick to draft a QB to take over next season and do you really want to go back to the days of Teddy and Siemian?

Wilson is undoubtly the best QB since Peyton Manning even though it's not exactly a high bar to clear.

I saw patwick mahomes throw a tantrum like a 7 year old who's ice cream fell on the floor the other night but I hadn't heard the audio. Man, what a f***ed up perspective this f***ing shitstain has...

So, because it turned out to be a really cool play to have a tight end throw a touchdown pass - the rules should have been ignored because it's kelce and he's going to be in the hall-of-fame someday??? Go f*** yourself you and your entitled team of f***tards!

I hope the refs screw them over and over and over from now on... but it will probably have the desired effect and they'll make sure calls go their way so they can get taylor swift tickets in the off-season.

I don't think they cut Wilson but I definitely want to bring in a rookie to compete/develop. I think Wilson is on the roster next year but I am not sure if he's the starter...probably is though. But after next year Stidham's deal is up and if they cut ties with Wilson at that point then the QB room is entirely empty.

I do have a lot of confidence in Payton though......I mean I look at Wilson and sometimes wonder if Payton would rather have Taysom Hill back there or Russell Wilson...at the end of the day, I am not sure there's a hell of a lot of difference between the two except having like $200M more in cap room to spend on the rest of the team if you have Taysom.....and I'm not suggesting they go get Taysom but this season I've grown super confident that Payton could find a kid and make him into a decent QB for 1/4 of the cost.

Ok but would that 'kid' have the ability to lead his team to these 4th quarter comeback wins that we've seen him do quite a bit of this season ? For me, that's the biggest difference between Russell Wilson and whatever rookie prospect they bring in - highly touted or not.

I mean, I know a lot of people just love to dump on Russ and whenever he misses someone that's open or hangs on to the ball too long and takes a sack - then it's all "oh he's SO washed" but in my view, I think he's played pretty well this season overall.

No way he should want Hill as a starter. The loyalty to players is something to consider but if you blow 15m of cap space on a gadget QB that's professional malpractice. I mean how much would he have gotten elsewhere? Stidham at 4m is about as much as I could suggest paying a non starting QB.

And it's the NFL, there is always competition for jobs. Don't even need to bring a guy in the building, guys put stuff on tape like Dobbs and others will trade for it. The timing is a little off on bringing in a serious contender for the job. They aren't eating 85m or 49m of dead cap space. Beyond that it's possible they cut Wilson. So maybe next off-season they consider drafting someone relatively high and have him as QB2 for a season and let Stidham go. This year it's iffy but a lower round pick isn't unrealistic.

You do have to be careful because not sure they want to have a 3rd QB taking a roster spot but if you draft a 3rd or 4th rounder, good luck getting him through waivers and onto the PS. I'd say a 7th or UDFA that fits Payton mold is best option and give him time to marinate. DiNucci ain't it.

I mean someone like Jake Browning could be available next year. Most likely not a franchise level guy, but could do a decent job and looks like he has some potential while you don't have to make a big commitment to him yet.

I can't believe Ja Morant went in front of a judge to claim that he and his friend beat the crap out of a 17 year old kid and then pulled a gun on him in "self defense" because the kid checked a ball at Ja's head and then pulled up his pant legs aggressively.

I mean, I can believe it because Ja's an absolute moron, but damn. He should have hired a lawyer smart enough to keep him from saying that.

He has played well - I don’t disagree at all. And I think he goes into next year as the starter. But I think he’s on the downswing of his career. Watching him this year reminds me a lot of our last Super Bowl year where Kubiak somehow willed victories out of a Peyton Manning that was clearly breaking down. I don’t know if Russell has a full one or two years left in him, and this years QB crop is much much better than next years. They also need someone who is at least a little bit experienced in Payton’s system in case Russ and Stidham both leave after next year.

Holiday has been cash money this year.

Strawther growing up right before our eyes.

Peyton Watson on defense is KCP on the perimeter and AG inside the arc. Kid's a freaking stud.
