ROY, All Rookie 1st Team, Youngest MVP ever, All NBA 1st team, 3 Time All Star. He did more in 8 years than most do in their entire careers in a Bulls uniform. I got 0 issue with it.

Seems like it would be similar to the Pacers retiring Paul George's number.

Or like if the Cubs were to retire Kris Bryant's number, but at least he helped bring the city a title after 100+ years.

I want to say I stopped following basketball around when the Rose era was beginning, so I don't know, maybe he has more of a "brand" with Chicago than I realize.

Sure seems odd to retire his number to me, though.

If he wasn’t from Englewood they wouldn’t be doing it.

He's a local, for sure, but again the cupboards are bare for the Bulls the past quarter century. If you're going to say that nobody to date post-Jordan deserves a retired number, that's legitimate. But if you're going to say one person does, who other than Rose fits the bill?

Bulls were exciting and relevant with Rose, not so much before or after if we're talking about a year beginning in 20xx.

Dynasties galore at the lower levels. In addition to that, Ferris State won their third DII championship in the past four years back in December and North Dakota State won their tenth title in the past fourteen years in the FCS tonight.
