You can’t make this shit up. It’s unreal.
 
After doing (yet again)virtually nothing to upgrade or change up the roster, the Sox look like the same old team we’ve seen with the same old flaws….what a shock….

One true ace and then a very average rotation otherwise. A shaky bullpen. Zero pop in the lineup, zero XBH, a bunch of singles and ground balls. Inability to produce runs. Poor defense/fundamentals.

Rinse and repeat.

Brilliant job by the front office. What a juggernaut.

The Sox starting rotation ERA against the ASTROS in this series.

Cease - 1.42
Lynn - 3.18
Giolito - 3.60
Clevinger - 0.00

They gave up 1, 2, 3, and 0 runs, respectively, against the Astros. Six runs given up by the starters through 4 games... against the Astros.

One of the best lineups in baseball(albeit missing a couple big bats), and your complaints are against the rotation? Lmao. Tell me you don't know baseball without telling me you don't know baseball.

The bullpen has been trash. There has been absolutely NOTHING wrong with the starting rotation so far. If not for the bullpen, this would have been a sweep in the Sox favor. The Sox starters pitched well enough for that.

I think six different players today hit a ball 108+mph in exit velo. Moncada hit two oppo field homers in the last two days that he didn't even get all of the ball...

so upset and distraught in my life rn cuz of the white Sox. And me posting that they suck here on HFboards somehow correlates to how I feel in general. Yes. Exactly.

I mean... generally when every single post you put up is negative, whining, bitching, and complaining, most people will make the assumption that is the type of person you are... and it's usually a pretty accurate assumption to make.

How can you sit there after everything we’ve seen with this Sox team and their current direction and say “A lot to be optimistic for”. Lol just stop. Stop lying to yourself. Maybe 2-3 years ago I had that mindset, but not now. They are who they are. It’s an average team.

- Elite ace #1 starter
- average rotation otherwise
- Below average bullpen but potential to improve
- Awful team defense
- Poor fundamentals
- Average offense with a few standout talents(Robert, Eloy, Vaughn)
- A team that gets on base but rarely executes or produces runs
- Unproven meh manager
- Bad farm system without many elite prospects

Overall: Average team.

They aren’t all negative though. You only respond to the ones that are on this particular thread. And btw I’ve mentioned this same exact concept before and this isn’t the first time I’ve responded to the whole “all you ever say is negative” myth and explained this….but w/e.

And I was being kind about the bullpen with the “below average with potential to improve” comment. Yeesh do they look AWFUL. Hopefully Hendriks can return at some point.
