Another thing is - there would probably be a good chance of a 2nd team coming to Chicago eventually, be it via a moving team or an expansion team.
No there wouldn't. If the Cubs had the whole market a new team would have to make a massive fee to enter, if they even allowed it.

Cone on...a bullet traveling froma mike away falls i to thecstadium? Seems unbelievable.. Maybe with special sniper rifle...but surelynot from ordinary hand gum or 3D printer gun...

New Marketi Campaign: Guaranteed Shot At Field...come experience the thrills
..stadium should be filled by nuts wishing to out luck death...Thrill seekers etc.
.They surely are not coming to watch the vomit the WS are displaying g on the field.

So now the question is - which is worse, getting shot or watching the Sox lose to one of the worst teams in baseball history for a 2nd consecutive night?

Jordan Wicks looks like he belong. Obviously, SSS but damn he looked good last night. At the very least he's a Jordan Montgomeryn type starter with the possibility to be a #2 depending on the development of his stuff (and remember he has SIX pitches he can throw.)

I still like Hayden Wesneski but unti he can figure out how to get lefties out, I would like for him to be back at AAA. Or if he stays in Chicago, limit him to facing only righties.

At this point the Sox should consider giving Clevinger a 2 yr extension

He has been consistent and solid all year and with the Sox having nothing much in system with regard to ML ready pitchers they need starters

Cease
Clevinger
Free Agent
Free Agent
Kopech (They will be wasting another year on him, he should be seen as nothing more than a #5)

Don't want anything to do with Clevinger going forward.

Sox can find a SP elsewhere

Super stoked about Jeff Passan calling out Reinsdorf and not holding back on how badly he screwed up the rebuild. He sounded off on the reluctance to spend any sort of significant/meaningful $$, the dumbass decision to hire TLR, etc…

Glad he wasn’t afraid to let loose and speak the truth instead of the same old “Ya know sometimes things just don’t work out. Lots of injuries. Bad luck.” Yada yada BS nonsense that you usually hear in response to “What happened to the white Sox?”

Overall, while frustrating at times, an undoubtedly successful 12-game period for the Cubs. Now the real “fun” begins!
Cubs started that stretch, 1.5. games back of the Brewers (who had a significantly tougher schedule in comparison to the Cubs) and will end this stretch 4 games back. I'll take the 8-4 stretch but I will give a very heart felt f**k you to Texas, San Diego and Minnesota for rolling over and playing dead against the Brewers. At minimum I want the Cubs to end the annoying winning streak by the Brewers. Cubs need to take 2/3 from MIL.

I was already in the mindset that the Wild Card spot was the end goal, so that's all the mattered to me in the end.

Cubs take 2/3 from the Brewers to start the week and the Bears taking care of the Packers to end of the week is something I want to see.

Highly doubt the Bears take care of the Packers this weekend.

Yeah I think that the Cubs probably take 2 of 3. I think they beat Miley and Burns and lose to Woodruff.

I'm thinking Cubs go 1/3, which is fine.

And then let's go Dodgers, and hope whoever wins the Reds/Giants series doesn't sweep!

My thoughts from opening weekend of college football are that Navy is horrible, Notre Dame is a CFP contender, and USC's defense still looks pretty booty, which is bound to haunt them eventually.

Why? Cubs are a better team to be quite honest.
