DSL White Sox finished 16-2 over last 18 GP to finish 32-22 for the season...their final scheduled game was cancelled (not sure if due to bad weather or because it made no difference anyway if they won ...they still missed the playoffs...however the feat of a spectacular turnaround to a meh 16-20 record in their first 36 games (first 2/3of tgecseason) to finish 32-22 and +46 r in un differential indicates that at least somebody knows how to manage a team or somebody finally dod assemble winning talent...Sure...it was not the ridiculous won lost record of dominance posted by 2 L.A.Dodger teams in tge FDL ..but syil any White Sox game teM that can reel off only 2 losses in their last 18GP has got to deserve applause
.

A slight glimmer of appreciation lost in a sea of dismal farm teams' ability to compete for victories...

The Angels clearly must've done something heinously sacrilegious in the mid-2000s, because the baseball gods have clearly omniloathed them for quite a while now.

Two days until college football officially begins!!! Let's go!!!

Not a fan. Never watch it. Have no claims to an alma mater or anything to follow their teams. Too many teams and players for me to care. Outside of someone cheering for their alma mater, I never understood the college football hype. It's like a handful of powerhouses that dominate every year, year in, year out. Hate colleges for making billions on the backs and health of college kids, and not giving anything back to them, also.

To that last point, some of them are getting paid pretty well at this point.

College football is my favorite sport, and I'm not sure it even really comes close.

Yeah, now. How many years did they get dick all when the colleges made their billions, and still charged outrageous amounts for tuition? f*** colleges, and the NCAA.

Don't think this changes a thing. UCL tears are routine maintenance now a days.

This is his second TJS though. I'm sure some GMs will pause as far as the pitching aspect. But what's special about Ohtani is he's such a great hitter too so you can still bank on that even if he may not be the same pitcher he once was.

That's certainly egregious, but the Angels ineptitude far predates that and is obviously of significantly less gravity than that.

My wife and I and my parents are splitting a pair of Illini season tickets. Hoping my ass off for winning a decent bowl game this year.

Hypothetically if the Sox moved to Nashville, would we Sox fans just become Cubs fans or would you root for the Nashville club?

I got season tickets this year!! Pumped for the game against Toledo, though deep down I'm very worried they're going to pull an Illinois. Toledo is a very solid team.

Goal this year just has to be to make a bowl game. A higher bowl would be nice, but anything works to keep a little mojo going for the program.

There are a lot of Sox fans that would NEVER root for the Cubs but I'm not one of them. Luckily we don't have to worry about that for another 5 years.
