Hypothetically if the Sox moved to Nashville, would we Sox fans just become Cubs fans or would you root for the Nashville club?

Rooting for them in Nashville. I grew up a Dolphins fan living in Chicago cuz of Dan Marino until he retired and then switched to the Bears in 2000. I don't need a team to be in Chicago to root for them. I'll never, ever root for the Cubs.

I’ve only been to maybe a half dozen MLB stadiums. Is Guaranteed Rate really that bad? Everything seems nice there, the food and beer selection is great, and we always have a great time watching baseball whenever we go.

No reason to move. Get new ownership and an effective FO. Fans will always support the white Sox as long as they’re winning or trying to win. The TLR hire totally took the wind out of my sails when the Sox were just starting to look exciting again. It’s hard to support or pay attention to a team in constant disarray.

Anyone up for the Bears acquiring Jonathan Taylor and then sigining him to the contract he wants?

It gets a bad rap because of how sterile it was when it was built, and because there's nothing to do in the surrounding area.

Do you see Ryan Poles giving up a 1st and then signing Taylor to a huge extension? Poles would not even give David Montgomery 6m, there is no way he goes for Taylor.

Poles is more likely to trade for a guy like Chris Jones from KC than he is for a RB who is seeking a huge deal.

My wife works for the Cubs and I still can't root for them (neither can she).

I'd probably end up a very casual baseball follower, wouldn't be a fan of anyone.
You too, never rooting for the Cubs. Wha?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?! No. Now I want Jerry Reinsdorf to move the team to Nashville, just to see how many Sox fans stawp following baseball or become a "casual" baseball fan.

Let's face facts WS ain't moving from Chicago. Too much invested in being the "other" baseball team in Chicago. :)

Well of course. Reinsdorf deserves all this bad publicity. And alot of those security guards will be losing their jobs for sure.

I 100% would be done being a Sox fan, and I think most fans would feel the same way. If they're going to stab us in the back, I'm not going to continue to support them.

As for who I'd root for, if any team. I don't know. I would probably let my heart guide me on that one, you know. Have you ever watched a game, and you didnt think you cared who won, but as you watch, you kind of realize you're rooting hard for one of the teams. I guess I'd see which way my heart goes.

Another thing is - there would probably be a good chance of a 2nd team coming to Chicago eventually, be it via a moving team or an expansion team.

They do have metal detectors at the park. 162 is bleachers so that has to be coming from inside the Stadium
Yeah that's concerning that someone got a gun through the metal detectors. My buddy texted me from the game last night and said they cancelled the 90's Vanilla Ice concert because of this.

You can make a 3D printed firearm that could easily get through the metal detectors. Yes, 3D printed firearms are a thing.

Unless you're a fan of the team already living in a market that they move to, I really don't get how any fan would still support the team they rooted for after they directly told you to **** off and left you for other fans instead.

So, any Raiders fans that already lived in Vegas or the three Chargers fans that lived in Los Angeles or if someone in Nashville is a White Sox or Brewers fan? Sure, still like your team that's now moving to you. But the fans being abandoned? I can't imagine still supporting such an egregious middle finger to a) you, b) your friends and family that also rooted for the team, c) your city and metro, and d) the team's entire history.

But it won't matter, Sox will get bought by a Chicagoan. And if the unthinkable does happen and a new AL squad moves in a few years later, it’s perfectly okay for them to now be your new team.

As was speculation from many last night it appears shots were fired outside park, in this case well away from park

I believe this happened a few years ago in St Louis I believe

Remember what goes up must come down (As people are warned every NYE when people shoot into air)
