Some people actually lived thru that shit and can tell you Jordan had no love for Doug Collins.

As for Krause, he sure as shit never won a damn thing without Jordan. When you have the GOAT already on the roster before you become GM. Krause wins nothing without Jordan and teams wernt knocking on Krause's door when he got fired. That says all you need to know about how good a GM he was.

The Sox are a disaster. That's why the "you can't judge a team in April" stuff is comical with this bunch. As if they were going to magically conjure up some better pitchers, hitters, etc....they were mediocre underachievers last year and got worse in the offseason.

Now it looks like they could have a truly awful season. Pathetic.

That's Hahns fault.

There were an awful lot of horrible projections with the young players he accumulated and that boils down to scouting.

Eloy and Roberts were always injured in the minors and the Sale trade was horrible in retrospect. Throw in questionable drafting during the rebuild and some questionable trades and now you have a team that isn't very good currently and is tapped out at the minors.

All fingers should be pointed at Hahn. Reinsdorf is so old now chances are he has no clue what's going on with either team he owns. He's 87 years old. He probably doesn't even leave his bed any more so blaming him for anything is just a weak excuse.

It’s all the above. Hahn has been inept but JR is detrimental as an owner first and foremost. They both have played a part in the creation of this colossal goatf*** on the south side.

What did Krause do once Jordan left him?

The two years Jordan "retired", how come Crumbs couldn't GM a couple titles without Jordan?

Krause was nothing but a human piece of shit who wanted credit he didn't deserve then every time he had his chance to prove himself he didn't just fail, but ass blasted himself out of the league.

If any GM has Michael Jordan to build around, they would have won titles.

Players win titles. GM's don't.

Well ...look at the bright side...Sox will be in position for top of the MLB draft in 2024...Even Hahn coukd not screw up that top pick ...All one needs to do is follow tge consensus rankings .. go to Baseball America ranks gs etc.. SurelyvSox scouts cannot ruin consensus likely top 3 pick and maybe 1st pick overall if this losing continues on current pace.
Though I did hear tge 2024 draft is goibgvto be "thin" compared to 2023 draft which is loaded with one of tge deepest crop of college bats in a long time..Sox are drafting 15th. In 2023.

A better solution is to have JR fire all current Sox management abdcscouts and overpay to steal the TB scouting staff who obviously can spit talent.
However if hecwill not spend the $$$into scouting then this is goibgvto beca long long long period of bottom feeding for the Sox.

And maybe they should spend on Japanese guys instead of Cubans...
 
Krause was a mixed bag, like most gm’s. Made good moves and bad. Hiring Jackson, trading for Pippen, and drafting Grant were all essential to the first 3. He also made bad moves, e.g. Stacey King, and later completely failed at the rebuild. Overall he was fine, far from perfect, but he did win six titles. People liked to hate on him because of his abrasive personality and because he was short and fat.
 
As solely sports executives, Krause and Bowman are fairly similar. Neither wins jack shit without the players they inherited.

All u need to do to understand why Krause is a piece of trash is watch the Last Dance documentary. Krause essentially got all salty cuz he wasn’t “one of the guys”/close buds with MJ and the players and hated how they got all the attention/credit and allegedly nobody gave him enough props so yeah he was butt hurt.

Im sure it didn’t help that Jordan was a major league dick/bully/egotistical selfish A-hole….but hey, not his job to get along and be all close knit off the court. They were drastically different people. He should have been all about business like Jordan and let those things slide.
 
I will readily admit that I was not really buying the Sox as an emergent contender when that was the talk 1-2 years ago, but that doubt in my head still had them as an okay team. This level of ineptitude by them is shocking even by my lower standards for what to expect from them.

Something is rotten deep in the organization. All of their promising young players have regressed. There is no development or instruction happening. There are no adjustments or corrections being made. They have no approach to any pitchers they face, and the same goes for their pitchers having no approach to opposing hitters. They are decades behind the curve.

This is on JR and his refusal to spend money on player development or non-essential staff, and inept management/coaching picks. It pretty much all comes back to JR and his stubborn f***ing stupidity.

Good luck with a couple thousand fans a game. They don't even deserve that many. They arent a serious organization.

Whike tge Whote Sox are stinking and so king at historic losing pace...there is some brightness in tge systems both the Winston-Salem Dash and tge Kannapolis Cannon zbalkers are doing very well in tgeir respective leagues standings off to very good April starts...
Hopefully the results from A and High A ball farm teams co tongue..

Meanwhile Birmingham sticks at the bottom. of the Southern League inAA ball and Charlotte is a bit interesting. 500 at AAA currently.

So it seems he to the big club might not arrive till 2025 or 2026 seasons..
 
They’ve been bad most of my life but the Pirates are so fun to watch right now. Hopefully they keep it up.
