La Koser goofed taking out Shedts to put on Engel to run..Sheets woukd not have failed to tag up . Yrs Moncada and Engel goofed badly and cost the Sox a big potential inning such that it woukd never have gotten to extra innings.

Those 2 vets shoukd be benched for their egregious sibs.

Tony La Kiser akso loses Shedts's bat in case more runs needed in subsequent innings if no big inning resulted had they alk tagged up....Sheets woukd have not been so stupid as to fail to tag lije Engel dod.

So La Loser's substitution of Engel to run for Sheets backfired big-time and akso list Sheets ' bat and deeo threat once scored tied...

I say leave Sheets in...you never know when more offense still required in subsequent innings or in extra innings.

Might have been better offense if Burger and Sheets in instead of Moncada and then Engel.

Yes Moncada tied scorexwith RBI but then also like Engel fails to tag on that Never seen Before in MLB history 8 to 5 triple pmay....

La Russia showing faith in his vets.. MoncDa,Engel Kelly...all let him down bigvtome.

So Yoan is above accountability. Has been shit all year, makes game-losing, teeball level baserunning error and still in the lineup the next day over burger. Its a shame he didnt hit a hr on a 3-0 count, tlr mighta done something about that.

Sweep the giants so ya think its finally turning around then they come out against the twins and just shit down their leg.

Right when the Sox were starting to give me hope they go and play like this at home vs the Twins in the most important series of the season.

Sox are a disgrace. A laughing stock. They’re a failure. And I’m not falling for it again next time they win a couple games in a row. I should have known better.

This feels very much like 00's when Sox would go into big series vs Twins and just fall apart

Truly a pathetic effort and likely the moment season is truly lost

6.5 back now at about halfway point of season and 4.5 back of WC spot but have a bunch of teams ahead of them

Bleak situation with several players still performing under expectations or outright awful (Moncada most glaring), A BP that continues to falter in rare moments offense shows up and continued injury issues

It's also been decades since Sox went on a tear in 2nd half to strongly finish out season and make playoffs. Only time I recall it in my life was 93 team

Usually, Sox MO is to falter even more in 2nd half of seasons when things aren't going right or just outright choke away division/wc spot (1996, 2003, 2006 and 2012 perfect examples of that)

Can’t stay injured forever, of course they can get healthy…and like I said despite some bad results against weak competition that doesn’t change the FACT that in general over that large of a sample it’s easier to get wins against bad teams as opposed to good teams…

Also despite the bad moves that doesn’t mean there havnt been solid TDL additions too(like Tepera) and the opportunity to add more again here in 2022.

Just swept the Giants in SF. Hendriks returns this week. Eloy, Grandal, and Bummer getting close too. Twins series next at home in Chicago. Twins just lost today so now going in to that series we’re gonna be just 4.5 games back. Sox are starting to play better. Pitching and hitting. The time is NOW to get on a roll and get in 1st!
You see now why I don't get optimistic with this team when it comes to ifs and maybes. They never put anything consistent together positive, and with them constantly underachieving they haven't earned the right for me or anyone to think they'll start playing better. Getting embarrassed at home by the Twins erases any slight positivity there was playing well at SF.

At TDL they should be all ears on Lynn, Giolito and Moncada if anyone has interest as well as a player like Pollack, Harrison or any of the bullpen arms

In next couple weeks the Sox are likely to be out of this barring a miracle run and should be looking at acquiring assets

I dont expect any teams to have interest in Moncada though nor do I think Hahn can actually make a good trade at this point

I don't expect teams to have any interest in Giolito either. Arguable for Lynn as he's had a big velocity drop and has a 4.50 ERA in a small sample size, along with being 35.

The only players the Sox have to sell are Abreu, Anderson and Hendriks. Hendriks could also be immovable because of his contract and injury concerns.

Frank menechino's career better be over post white sox too. Guy completely drained the power of a lineup that should have been near the top of baseball in home runs. Their approach is like an NL team in the 90s...i guess that could be the old drunkards fault too.

It's a f***ing joke he got the job in the first place. His teams have ALL turned into dogshit, powerless, groundball hitting losers a season into his stint there. Lo and behold.

I'm in town from Florida this weekend and went to Wrigley Saturday night. Cubs won so it was nice to sing go Cubs go after a win in a night in Chicago, but I still can't get over how much Wrigeyville has changed. Once you are inside the park and in the bleachers it generally feels the same, but the surrounding area doesn't feel like it used to. Felt so corporate now
Yup it feels like Rosemont or something tbh. The Cubs sold out on TV with the Marquee Network and they sold out Wrigleyville. Sad to see

I haven’t been back to Wrigley since the World Series but man is that a sad picture to paint.

At least per a couple people on Twitter, including a retreat by Bielema, the Big Ten might be adopting a 3-6-6, where each Big Ten team plays three set teams every season, and then alternates playing six other teams one year and the six remaining teams another year and repeat.

I'm assuming that means annual battles against Northwestern, Indiana, and Purdue, but we'll see.

Wonder which two teams get plonked in with the LA teams every year. Would be pretty funny if it was Rutgers and Maryland.
