Can anyone think of a worse in-game screw-up in any sport than Branden Staley's timeout there? The Raiders were going to sit on it. I think the guy legit cost his team a trip to the playoffs with his stupidity. It was also ridiculous to go for 2 when they got it to 9 with 4 minutes left, if you miss the game is basically over and even if you get it you still need a TD and an XP.

And they were only in this spot because of his ridiculous 4th down adventures 3 weeks ago vs. KC snatched defeat from the jaws of victory.

:sarcasm:

Sorry Herby, all in good fun hahaha

That was honestly the first place my brain went haha

holy lack of game sense

The first round of the NFL playoffs are about as exciting as watching paint dry. Maybe the playoffs should be reserved for teams that are very good, and not just above average.

...and in a surprise to absolutely no one, Tom Brady's team advances easily.

Rams up 17-3 and dominated at half against the Niners lost in OT. I'm not relieved until Rams are up when the game is over.

Divisional round as usual looks like it will be the best NFL weekend of the year. Hopefully that is the case because the "Super Wild-Card Weekend" has been for the most part a bust. Feel like you could play this game, Buff/NE, TB/PHI and KC/PIT 10 times and the results wouldn't change.

I'm hoping to enjoy a Packers win on Saturday at Lambeau and then watch the Rams and Bucs beat up on each other.

Just complete lunacy that the Clippers didn't move to OC permanently in the 90's. They would play like 8 games a year at the Pond but that stopped when Staples was built. I get the money factor and the market factor but the Angels and Ducks have done quite alright for themselves in Orange County. Both won championships in this century and both were able to sign multiple big name free agents over the years. As well as being decent parts of the community and culture of the area. How can a team be expected to compete when they are arguably the most hated team in the league in their own market.

It’s going to be interesting to see how many Clippers fans will show up when they move to Inglewood.

The problem with that game was McVay out thought himself before SF scored their last second field goal during the 1st half. A simple run play on 3rd and less than a yard would've run the clock out at worst. No points, no comeback, no OT.

They played better against AZ who beat them real good in game 1 and earned the playoff win.. They've beaten Brady before, they just need to go after him like at the start of the season. Getting the run game going again was good too.

It's hard to beat a team Twice in one season especially a team lead by a player like Tom Brady. Bucs are going to be prepared and at home. It will be a tough one that's for sure.

To be fair, it was hilarious to watch the Cowboys head into the off-season in the most cowboy way possible.

Actually I wouldn't be surprised if the Rams beat them rather handily. The Bucs are banged up while the Rams are hungry and confident after their best game in a long time.

Plus, as far as I can tell, Brady has been hanging around car rental places instead of practicing. What's gotten into that guy?

So, I remember watching this game as a kid, and in particular, this play was stuck in my head for the past half-century because I thought it was so unusual.

You thought Stafford and Murray are knuckleheads? Watch Bob Berry of the Falcons (about the one minute mark). History repeats itself.

To be fair to Berry that was Deacon Jones bearing down on him. 26 sacks in a 14 game season. I'd chuck it away, too.

I think the big difference this time around, besides health, is that the Rams have a semblance of a running game now thanks to Michel getting more carries and Akers coming back. There was no way they were going to win solely on Stafford's arm. Tampa really benefited last season due to their opponents having crippling injuries. Now the shoe is on the other foot.
