Joe Buck can’t stop stroking Boston’s home grown talent when the Dodgers have more home grown players.
Being from Minnesota originally, I can name Twins homegrown talent quickly. Winfield, Mauer, now I’m actually in a 5 minute pause, ok? Molitor. That’s all I got. Oh yeah, Jack Morris. But baseball and homegrown players? Aren’t 90 percent of the non-USA players from California? Just wondering.

If you have 2 marbles and I have 3 then I have more marbles than you. It's basic English.

I suppose youre right, my mistake

Point being, having one more home grown player isn't exactly enough for bragging rights or pulling the "Sox bought their team" card

Especially from the team that picked up arguably two of the biggest rentals of the past two years in Darvish and Machado

Oh Ryu, it was two outs and now it’s bases loaded. Let’s see if they can get out of this one.

And now it’s a tie game, bases still loaded.

Scratch that, now it’s 4-2 Sox.

Well he said players and it was one so uhh yeah he was wrong

Also if you’re really going to hang your hat on having one more home grown player then I don’t even know what to say to that

Lol what? Players since it's more than one? Reading comprehension at its finest.

Hey Johnny, congrats you had the best score in the class with 98. Pay no attention to Joseph who got a 99.

Ok

Enjoy your one extra home grown player, I bet he's really good and will bring you a lot of happiness

It's got nothing to do with "hanging a hat", it's got to do with the fact that Buck is going out of his way to praise one team for something when the other team actually has more of that thing. I don't give a shit about homegrown talent. It's an example of his bias, nothing more.

Pretty certain that "homegrown" In this case means drafted and developed by the team they are playing for. I don't think the Red Sox have a single player on their active roster that was born in Massachusetts. Again, don't actually give one f*** about homegrown. I care that Joe Buck is a biased shitsack though.

Best talents to come out of New England since the 2000s are Chris Carpenter and...Brian Wilson?

The guy is an unabashed Cardinals homer

Sox fans complained about the same thing you guys are complaining about now back in 2013

Its all good

Welp. I wanna say the Dodgers still have a chance, but it's a bad sign when we're unable to score more than 2 runs against a shaky Price. You're not gonna beat the Sox by stifling their offense - we can't. You have to score, which means hitting with RISP.
