Something feels different about this year's Dodger team, though. I'm not sure what it is exactly, but they sure are fun to watch. I also think Hill will be real good for the rest of the season after a rocky first two months.

Amen. Getting a 2012 Kings post deadline vibe. Just something magical.

But yeah I do feel a little hesitant (like i did with those Kings) that Lucy is gonna pull Charlie Brown's football.

If the Dodgers finally win the WS again it'll be both Lakers and Dodgers ..... As for our beloved Kings being more recognizable than UCLA.. I'm sorry but you must be running into the same people because if your not in Hermosa/Manhattan/Redondo/El Segundo, you will definitely see every team outnumbering the Kings

I live in Long Beach and work in South OC. Drive the 405 up and back every day. I never see **** about UCLA basketball.

I don't even care if UCLA basketball is more popular as it doesn't hurt my feelings one bit: it's just not true.

Now, if you want to say UCLA itself is more recognizable, I'll agree with that. Specifically saying their basketball team is, however, is way too much of a leap.

Also, if you are basing it off of last season, it is only because of Lonzo and only because Laker fans were all-in because they knew they had a chance of getting him.

I work with UCLA alumni and we talk sports all the time. Never mentioned basketball last year. Only people in the office that did were Laker fans because of Lonzo.

Pretty sure UCLA basketball was relevant in the mid-2000s during the Howland years. 3 straight F4 appearances are nothing to laugh at. Well, until they kept getting owned by Florida.

Ahhh I miss the old Puig is better than Trout social media posts from 2013.

I actually figured it was someone posting an old tweet.

Me too, then I noticed the date.

I mean, nobody gets thrown out better going from 1st to 3rd on a shallow single than Puig to end an inning.

Mike Trout vs Yasiel Puig is like Tim Duncan vs Kenyon Martin

But if a joke that involves something that's obviously not true is hurting Angel fans feelings, then more power to you.

only the dodgers outnumber kings stickers in the I.E. , and in 2014 we had a four hour Cup viewing in a 104 degree weather at a local pizza establishment ..............if we continue to miss the playoffs it will go back to the way it was , but even the local rink here has beer leagues, kids leagues and tournaments all year round

With Goff it's one of those things where it's good that he looks good early--even though much more is needed (deep ball like you said)--because the alternative is more terrifying.

FIgured it was better to post this here than the visiting LA topic

Heading down in a couple weeks to see USC/Stanford and a Dodgers game - any advice on seating etc? The only thing I can figure is that its best to sit on the 3B side for a Dodgers day game to at least try to get some shade.

Tough break for Rich Hill tonight.

After 8 innings: Perfect game
After 9 innings: No-hitter
After 10 innings: A 1-0 loss on a walkoff HR

Would've been nice for the Dodgers bats to put in the same effort.

Those were the Dodgers I grew accustomed to the previous few years. Great pitching effort with no run support.
