Magic needs to go back to doing something he had more success with, like hosting a late night TV talk show.

He's another example of great players not necessarily making great sports executives. He has zero experience running a team, but Jeanie Buss thinks his playing credentials is enough to put him in a position of authority.

And now he's making himself look like a clown and continues to make the Lakers organization look like a complete joke (which they are now).

To be fair, the Lakers have been doing just fine in looking like a complete joke on their own - with or without Magic - for many years now. Young me would never have believed this shit back in 1985 when the Lakers and Celtics were battling to be the royalty of the NBA.

It's sad to see what's become of this team. I was a huge fan of Magic and the "Showtime" era, and Jerry West was one of the greatest minds, only to see him get pushed out, and this team has been a huge mess since his exit, and they went futher down the spiral with Dr. Jerry Buss's passing.

The handling of that Chris Paul trade saga was a joke, thanks to some slimy owners and David Stern.

The lesson here is clear: Never hire a billionaire as your employee and expect him to act like your employee. Magic acts like he can say or do anything he wants, which is pretty much what every billionaire thinks.

It was ridiculous to hire him for a position that should take 100% of a person's time, when he was in no position to offer anywhere near that amount of time.

Plus superstars make terrible coaches and/or executives. Larry Bird might be the most successful exception to that and even he never won a championship in either role.

He's was a horrible coach and then all of a sudden quit, his TV show was soooo freakin bad they cancelled it after 3 months, and of course this debacle as the President of the Lakers. You are a living Laker legend thank you for all the titles but stay away from this team you'll be respected more. Now after saying all this and I've said many times here all this BS starts from the very TOP of the organization. JEANIE BUSS is absolute garbage hoping someone can get her as far away from this team as possible. She has been the worst owner in all of sports. My goodness. Anyways, all this frustration is from my Kings not making the playoffs and sucking for the last few years.

There's no guarantee the Lakers would've won any championships with the Chris Paul trade. Kobe was on the decline and started getting injured a lot. Bynum was basically done. Odom (also done) and Gasol were the trade pieces to get CP3. And there's no way the salary cap would've allowed them to have both CP3 and Dwight Howard.

I just go to reddit and find a link. The Dodgers already got their money, it won't hurt them. It's all on Spectrum and their greed, and not being a Spectrum subscriber, I appreciate those who are generous enough to provide a stream.

The Dodgers, historically, have one of the worst win percentages in the World Series for a team that's been there fairly often. They're 6-13, iirc. Cody B has been amazing this season. So glad he found his swing after the sophomore slump.
