I get that Russell is a scumbag, but unless he broke laws ... I don't need to learn about his personal issues with his ex girlfriend. That's for their lawyers to figure out.

If there's domestic abuse, I'm all ears. However, do we really want to hear exes expose their personal dirty laundry on social media?

If Addison is a BAD father, sue the jerk. We can hear about it in the civil courts. However, weaponizing social media for exes is a bad precedent.

I tend to agree actually, with respect to this specific story. I only posted it because it has been making the rounds.

It was nothing against your post ... but the general attitude of exes thinking it's okay to air their dirty laundry on social media UNLESS some sort of crime was perpetrated.

The domestic abuse allegations is another story ... as long as it was also reported to the police, social media can play a role if done responsibly. However, I'm talking about his other ex claiming that Addison is a bad father.

You are mixing the two things up.

I have no issues if Russell is fired for cause from his job. However, if the DA refuses to even indict, I'm not going to jump the gun and say he should be in jail. We need more information before coming to an informed opinion.

Well the first post today doesn't appear to contain any criminal accusations, just him being shitty. The second post today does (but it's from the original accuser, not the one airing the new stories of him being a bad guy).

Carter will be fine. He's still 19. He needs to stay out of foul trouble and get stronger in the summer / develop a consistent outside shot. Once he does that, he can also become an offensive focal point.

Not if an innocent person gets accused for nefarious reasons. You don't get your reputation back of it's bad information. I'm not saying there shouldn't be a platform ... but I live in NYC where the hysteria went too far. That anonymous spreadsheet was DANGEROUS and terribly irresponsible.

That wasn't the gist of the argument. Small minds have a mypopic view of the world. No one was specifically standing up for Addison Russell. It would the same of accusing you of supporting Sabrina Rubin Erdely regardless of the circumstances. Be careful what you wish for.

This is the downside of social media. The torch and pitch fork crowd is always mobilized for action ... rather than taking a step back and trying to understand the big picture.
