So Durant may miss the rest of the regular season...ouch. I guess as long as he and everyone else is healthy for the playoffs but man this isn't off to a good start.
Horns of differing flavors.Looking forward to the battle between Devils and Christians tomorrow
Seeya, MadBum.
MadBum is a bum.
Maybe I'm being dense in my searching, but I can't quite figure out what "designated for assignment" means to Baumgarner's future. He was placed on waivers, and nobody will pick up that contract. The team owes him tens of millions. In his situation in the NHL, he'd move to the AHL when his contract isn't picked up elsewhere. Does Baumgarner get moved down to the Reno Aces?
12 news pic on Facebook shows guys in red unis holding white helmets. So what helmet does home wear? The black or white? These are boring.
He can also accept the assignment and head to the minors if he's not released/traded. This occasionally happens though usually not with high profile players who wouldn't want to slum around AAA, since the MLB team has to pay the player anywayIt's been a long time since I had a clear understanding of the MLB CBA, but the last I understood, if you're DFA from the MLB roster and you don't have any minor league options left in your contract, you either have to be traded or released outright. I'm sure someone with better knowledge than mine will be able to clarify, though.
