That wasn't really an HFboards thing. That was Belak on his show Wade a Minute. He was discussing how many points he would put up on Sundin's wing. He was gonna lay off the fighting because he didn't want to damage his silky-smooth hands. He figured he put up "30 goals, 40 assists, thats like 100 points".

Because old threads get deleted on HFB regularly. Probably due to server/database load. You won't find too much old stuff on here.

1997. Write ups on prospects and one main talk board. that's was it. maybe a few dozen posters to start. Then expanded to team boards a year or so later.
I remember the first time a game day thread hit 100 posts . We didn't think it possible.
