I feel like this would happen regardless to fact that you guys started out as friends. Even if that does happen, friends tend to come and go, so it's better to try and make a relationship work if there is potential.

yea as long as its not a bad break up dating friends is almost the best course of action since you know them so well already.

Yeah, I mean it kind of ruined my friendship with her and for that I regret it, but on any other level dating a friend or dating a girl without the friendship first runs the same risk of any other relationship.
