OT: OT Thread, Winter Edition(2nd Fall for Georgians)

Yeah, that has been on my mind, but it's also lit a fire under me and reminded me how passionately Canadian I am, and how I'm willing to fight against any threat to our nation's sovereignty.

Lots to think about and consider for sure when making a major life decision such as this.
If you come back bring Ozzy man with you he's hilarious.

I moved back to Canada from the States when I was 30 to raise my family here

No regrets, but I can't see myself spending another 45 winters here either lol

Good luck wherever you end up!

My daughter is in grade 7 and son is in grade 11 and I am beginning to start thinking about the next phase of my life and what that looks like.

priorities I am weighing:

Where will my kids settle as they grow older. If one or both are in Winnipeg I would happily choose this as my home base. If they both move to different cities there is not much keeping me here. I will cross that bridge when I come to it.

I need to manage large blocks of my time getting out of Canadian winters. Being really active and in nice weather will be the top priority. Jan Feb March April need to be warm weather.

We've never done warm getaways because our kids all played hockey... that ate up the time and disposable income

Now that I'm down to one kid playing high school (and she might opt out next year), things are changing

If we could even spend the first two weeks of February somewhere hot and maybe a 5 day ski trip t start of March, I'd be happy. Little trips to break things up and give us something to look forward to

Even this year, I'm heading to BC this weekend for the youngest's soccer then flying to Halifax to visit the older daughter for the rest of the week.... it won't be tropical, but the weather in both places should be at or around zero... that's a win for me lol
