It's always been a story i have found very interesting, probably from that JFK movie years ago, such a good movie. The JFK assassination is a rabbit hole that I went down a couple of years ago
If anyone has an inkling, Rob Reimer's podcast series (with Solidad O'brien as a co-host) is a good starting place.
Another one called "Solving JFK" goes into deeper detail and is worth listening to

I haven't been to Dallas but I'd like to somedayI find the JFK assassination fascinating. The fact they have been able to keep the details covered up this long is impressive. Have you ever been to Dallas to go on the JFK tours they offer?
Oliver Stone is great and even though he seemed to take allot of creative license the guy could put together entertaining movies.

I find the 1960s fascinating. Such a pivotal time in American history... Basically "the end of the innocence" so to speak
Between the JFK, RFK and MLK assaiantions and the Vietnam War there was a definite shift towards mistrust of the government (as was foretold in Eisenhower's farewell address in January 1961)
What's happening now in the the US if it was a movie i would be laughing and saying Ya right that would never happen in real life all through the movie. It really was the end of the innocence.
Ike really got “IT”. That speech was so profound and will stand the test of time as someone who truly understood the challenges. The crazy part though is how often history repeats itself.

I have said for a long time this was going to be a true story.I think that can be said for a larger sample size of countries. Lots will be changing in the next 5 to 10 years and most governments will be in over their heads dealing with it (since “it” is still unknown). I am older but I spend time in this space studying it and I think it will be the biggest change since the Industrial Revolution and that was before my time. The internet was huge but it was a slow burn that took decades to take effect and transition was manageable. The advancements in the newest technology will not be the same. The difference will be how fast it’s all going to happen this time (AI, Robotics, Quantum, then AGI, etc).
Think of how much having our own phones with camera’s on them coupled with social networks has transformed behavior of human interaction. I think this next stage that we are already in will be more profound but I have no idea exactly how that plays out.
The smartest people in these fields (covering off all political affiliations in all major countries) all seem pretty excited/scared. The problem is nobody knows exactly where its going but there is an AI arms race between not only companies but nations and the existential threat to getting left behind is real so limitations will be hard to implement.
This is bigger than politics. Us humans love to innovate and this is some of our best and scariest shit ever.
Buckle up.
