OT Thread Part X: No One Here Sleeps

Bacon / steaks don't do the trick, though, because they have no carbs. Ok, fat will make you fat if you don't excercise at all, but things like pasta, potatoes, burgers etc. are full of carbs so just eat them and you'll be fat in no time.
 
Anyone see Cyndi Laupers tv show? In one episode there was a part about how much her family loves the Rangers. It was fun to see.
 
See, this doesn't work too well for me. The same problem runs in my family for every male. We are stuck as tall, skinny, cut kids. My dad and his brother were the same way. Eat whatever the hell I want and don't put on a pound.

You should consider yoruself very lucky. I also have a couple of friends who can eat 4000 calories per day while sitting around at home and at the end of the day they are 1.5 lbs lighter than in the morning.

My metabolism is so bad that if I as much as open the fridge and look at a pudding or a cake, I gain 5 pounds. If I eat one plate of spagetti, I'm 4 pounds heavier.

So you need to eat carbs and then go to the gym. Turn the fat you ate to muscles, because muscles weigh more than fat anyway.

Never got on the smoking addiction train, although everybody will smoke from time to time when drunk

I loved my first cigarette. Thought it tasted great.

Anyway, how can you not sell orange juice with pulp? Pulp-less orange juice is a sin.
 
For me the first cigarette was always the worst. Made me always think why the heck am i even smoking. The second one was golden, though, so I didn't think much further after that.
 
Run while you still can.

Running is probably the most boring exercise there is in the world, but I had to pick it up, because that was the only way to lose weight for me withouth joining an overpriced gym program. And I know a thing or two from my days of playing hockey about nutrion and so on.

But yeah, running helps, but I wouldn't suggest long running routes. I run intervals (4 minutes running, 1 minute fast-paced walking) to manage the heart rate and fat burning better.
 
We're talking about smoking?
My dad smoked since I was born. Stopped 2 years ago, never looked back.

No personal experiences for me :D

Figured this is as good a thread as any to pose this question, but has anyone been to the bar the Flying Puck near MSG?

A buddy of mine and I are hoping to catch the game tonight and I generally hate watching hockey at bars - was wondering if this place is worth it.

I've been there before. It's a nice place and hockey themed. They have Labatt on tap which is pretty rare in the city.
