OT Thread Part IIX: The How Do Roman Numerals Work? Edition

Having spent a lot of time hanging out with all kinds of different athletes, I can say, most are A LOT nicer than you would think

My best friend plays college ball so I see athletes all the time. A lot of them are VERY obnoxious. There's some genuinely nice kids, but what i've seen is that kids with legitimate chances to go play professionally are really obnoxious.

I don't want to generalize, because like I said some of them really are great people, but it's fairly common for me to see them let their talent get to their head.

Also, I have you guys beat- I haven't slept yet. You wanna complain about insomnia?

Not interesting by any means, but here are mine...

Keep working on getting over my ex (lame, I know)
Workout harder and be more active in general
Be employed in a job that I can see becoming a career by March 1st
Be out of my parents house by 1/1/2014 :yo:

Working out helps getting over ex, getting over ex helps finding spirit to find the right job and the right job will have you moved into your own place. Get going son.

Not recent. Three years ago at a Steiner signing, where you PAY to get autographs and take pics, I got shafted by him. I wanted a pic with him and my brother, and before either one of us could barely get our arms around him and look at the camera, the guy took the pic and gave my bro's phone back to us. It was the ********* picture ever taken. Messier wouldn't take another one and made us leave so the next person could come on down for their shafting.

Mark Messier has always exuded a very awkward transition between a stealthy sociopathic coldness to sudden warmness to all that surrounds him. Regardless of what it is from a psychological perspective, I don't like it and have never liked it.
 
There are normally a lot of people on Sunday nights. I suppose the winter holidays has everyone busy!
 
It sucks when athletes you meet are dicks especially if they're guys you really admire. I'm older now, and don't go out of my way to interact with anybody anymore. I did see Dwayne Roloson up by the beach where I work, and approached him. I'm not a huge fan, so I figured I'd give it a shot. Didn't ask him to sign anything, but talked for a while. I figured if he was an ass it's okay cause I'm not a huge fan, but he was very nice. Kinda felt bad for him cause of last season. He also is real young looking in person.

I'm usually on when this place is like that corner bar at 3:00 AM that's a ghost town. Like I said yesterday morning with the sleep problems, and all!:laugh:

I've been doing a lot with the same girl for about a month now. I figured I might as well make it more official or something, I don't know. I like her a lot so let's so what happens.

Gyms for squares! I got all of that right in my house!:sarcasm:

Okay well the pool, and a mini gym in one of the empty bedrooms. No ice rink though! Have to use the asphalt in the street for skating!:laugh:
 
I am officially off of Facebook. Starting the year doing some random things that gives me a sense of renewal that won't last more than a week but I'm doing it anyway :laugh:

Gym Membership, poker sabbatical until May to rework my game, buying a new car, hopefully an apartment after that once my term savings frees up so I don't have to mortgage, getting back in good shape and health, maybe a relationship if I can get over my commitment issues, maybe some hockey to look forward to and the most important thing of all, you guys. :joker:
