Well we keep hearing about how skilled trades are badly needed all the time here but it is a bit cyclical. I'm sure some of our fellow board members will have a better handle on things than me.

Do you specialize in any particular type of electrical work?
East coast, worked mostly marine. But have red seal. Next question I should ask is the rent situation out there?

Why is this a tragedy? (unless you're tongue in cheek of course). The tragedy is that there are some many stupid people in the world. A bunch of campers out to some remote place in the desert, where the highlight of the event if to see a giant bonfire. Sure it's muddy, but I think it's been just as bad at Big Valley some years. A whole bunch of people have already said, "f*** it", and just drove out. The rest should do the same. I am getting sick and tired this appearing on the national news every night, like it's some vessel that capsized in the sea with thousands of hearty souls lost in icy waters.

Unless you're a complete screwup, you'll have a job the minute you cross the border. Maybe earlier if you throw some resumes out there.
Tongue in cheek is the safer ruling. I was saying what a bad idea the location is.. For the several reasons I mention.

Agree completely with you. Can't stand people taking these kinds of risks and then everybody else should pick up the pieces. This is going to be a major problem getting everybody out and the lake bed will now be full of tire tracks and ruts for years.

People around the area consider this one big pain in the ass as well. There just isn't the infrastructure, of anykind in the area to put this kind of thing on. The promoters are so irresponsible to have this as a location. They just don't care.

One of the funniest things was seeing burners prevented access to the event from enviro protesters blocking the one road in. There was a traffic jam miles in to get in. That turned out to be a harbinger but funny to see asshats on both sides of that standoff.

That was funny? Well .. I guess it kinda was when the tribal police showed up and ran them right off the road.

Burning man isn’t for you. Oh well. You’re too old anyway.

Being too old for some of where this shitshow is headed isn't always the worst thing in the world.

Can't see you taking part in this freakshow either

This is funny too. Too much rain in the desert (which actually occurs once in awhile=global warming. Too much heat in the desert or anywhere else =global warming.

Too cold in the desert equals global warming.

Interesting how all the predictable news sources are saying that a rain in the desert is cataclysmic global warming. Nah, its just a shitty shitty place to be where theres no soil, no life, and no life intended, and where any water that falls is not absorbed well at all. Any prior time in history people had enough sense to stay away from the desert, the worst possible places to be caught in. In prior times people only ventured into the desert if they had to to make a living, to transport, or to get to some habitable place. That people spend thousands to attend this event in this location. lmfao.

Now that's the kind of phone call you like getting from your doctor. My Dr's office called about a week ago and told me my Dr wanted a phone consult over some tests I have previously got done so I of course I am going over in my mind all the things that could have been bad on the tests.

Instead he tells me that due to my family history and some changes in methodology I do not have to make an appoitnment for a second colonoscopy. My first test was about 8 years ago and no issues, previously they wanted one done every 5 years or so but if you do not have a family history now they just make you take a poop sample test every few years.

So no need for a 'pain in the ass' colonoscopy.

lol

People might wonder why I mock stuff like Burning man. Because basically its nothing of what it alludes to be. People describe it as a community, a meeting of the tribe, of being so much a one, a helping altruistic community

The commonsense version of me questions why people interested in having such community, communion, and all the virtues can't just have that at home. Where they live.

Gonna deepdive here and because it is OT but I think as western world moves further away from established agents of community like church, or the spirituality contained within they increasingly try to find something entirely different and seeking some kind of belief out of these things and how it defines them as a burner. Scratch beyond the surface and people are doing similar things to those that formerly followed just having at home spirituality. Except now they have to chase thousands of miles for the fix, spend thousands of bucks, wait in line 12 hrs to leave an insufferable environment etc.

People can do what they want. Its up to them. But sociologically this is the same kind of phenomenon that some people get swept up in throughout time. Its interesting in that many burners will select their life partners at the burn, and this phenomenon alone is huge. Think about how odd that is. People spend 50weeks of the year living where they do, working where they do etc, but so many burners find their spouse at the burn. Thats the kind of thing religious people used to do except this is more pagan oriented (and I think thats overstated too) Burning man is really about nothing but performance art and performing people. Its self indulgent all day. Like minds do attract though. Maybe the pursuit of hedonism is enough.

Somehow I doubt it.

To me rents are atrocious everywhere but a quick view of the stats seems Edmonton is better than most cities in Canada these days.
If you want crazy rents look here to London. My old apartment I rented for £450 pounds a month is now going for £1200 a month. No renovation was done. Nothing. New owner came in and decided that was the rent after I moved out. Took him a month but he found someone to rent it

I agree. Or at least I did until I noticed that there does not seem to be an opening in the bottom of glass 3. Assuming that this was n, I'd say #3 as the flow rate into glass 3 would be higher than going out into 6. But the answer also depends on how fast the liquid is entering glass 1. If the rate is very high it could well be glass 1.

I would say #3 as well. The cup doesn't flow into #7 and #1 would never get full enough to fill any of the glasses on the left hand side.

#7 and # 5 get f*** all, so they're out. So either 4 or 6, since they have the direct flow into them. And I'm going #4 since the tap above has a lower feed into it.

There also is no flow to 6, so it's also out. For me the answer is none of them, as I would drink right from the bottle. ;)
