Thought it was pretty impressive that we were going to see a 7th straight Brier with the same three teams battling to play in those last two spots.

Then to see Gushue's team win with only 3 guys just blew my mind.

Could've sworn these guys use to always bring a 5th to these tourneys, but I guess not.

reason #122 for moving to the Yukon........

ZERO chances of a skunk detonating itself 20ft beside your truck when you're trying to sleep in the middle of Indiana with your windows open..........

So, this is what you've been doing in the past little while.

Crazy stuff! This is the first time I can remember a team playing with 3 over any multiple game series. Teams normally do have a 5th. Mark Kennedy was Gushue's 5th at the Olympics but he was playing third for Jacobs.

In some ways having three can be an advantage just because the more rocks you throw the easier it is to get into a grove. But it also throws you off. In addition to the sweeping there is a tendency to try and help out the one sweeper with "just a little extra weight". This can be almost subconscious.

Watching the three Page games it was almost like the opposition was down a player. All three teams they played made uncharacteristic errors in sweeping/ice reading that may well have been the difference in the games.

If you guys are big curling guys I think you’re going to be VERY intrigued with what the teams will look like next year.

The Olympics dictates the curling cycle. Four years or eight years is pretty much a common time frame.

I'd like to see Botcher with his front end (Martin is a beast) and one of Kennedy, Morris or Neufeld at third. They could dominate for a long time.

I am also interested to see who Koe has.

My guess is that Gushue keeps his team pretty much intact, as does Gunnlaugson. Though there is an issue with Gallant, So maybe Gushue/Nichols stay together and pick up a couple of kids from that junior team.

Ontario is a complete mystery. Curling is just not as big out here as it is in the West the at least not in SW Ontario. It was big in Kingston when I moved there, but more on the highend rec side than at a seriously competitive level. Here in KW curling is pretty much a nothing burger. The only significant non-private club became a paintball arena. When I joined they did not even have a permanent ice maker but they were charging almost 8 times what I paid to play in Edmonton and about 5 times what I paid in Kingston and that was just to play once a night. In Edmonton/Kingston I curled 3-5 times a week.

Do you snore and fart in your sleep? Could be why the skunk got scared. Maybe thought a bear was getting close

Today's crazy ass problem only I could have.

I cracked my back bungee jumping and need a proper massage. There are about 20 massage places near me but none give the service I actual need. There was a surprising Happy ending with 2 Latino ladies in one place but my back still hurts.

Trying to find a proper massage in Jaco is not easy
