I know virtually nothing about Frontier, but I agree that FIOS as-is is pretty sweet, so I'm leery of this. The cable-option here in Long Beach/Signal Hill is Charter, and in my tattered book they're one (half) step above anti-vacciners, 9-11 truthers//birthers, and serial jaywalkers.
As a semi-related aside: I might be the only person alive who actually has a favorable opinion of TWC (had them for the aggregate total of 6 years in Huntington Beach/Fountain Valley, and had an issue ONCE with them...well, other than the ongoing issue of their services being overpriced!)

Charter sucks, because they use data caps. What's even sadder is the fact The Bronx--yes, South Bronx included--has uncapped and unthrottled internet courtesy of Verizon FiOS and in addition, Senator Schumer's ban on data caps in NY. Since both Time Warner Cable and Verizon FiOS are both in New York City and Los Angeles, they both know fully well any complaint from either market get priority #1 to the FCC.

Android blows. Just like Windows. I'll give Samsung props though, they took a terrible OS and made it even slower with their garbage overlay. I used a Galaxy a while back and it makes water drop noises when you do certain functions, lol, terrible.

Samsung thinks they're cool because they discovered metal and glass for industrial design. Like I said, bunch of amateurs. I have a Samsung fridge (came with my house) and it makes so much ******* noise. In the middle of the night it starts making this godforsaken racket like it's trying to take off. I hope it does.

Yep. During the year we lived downtown, our complex was "only one of a few" in about a two-mile radius was not wired for FIOS (the manager herself told me this). Thankfully, we do get it now (although with Frontier coming in, we'll see how long we stay with them once our two-year agreement runs out).
All the buzz right now is over "net neutrality," but this article articulates what I was thinking last week; the "other" FCC ruling might actually turn out to have a greater-reaching impact:
