Don't park on the street Buddy the Elf.
Haha... I should follow people home who let their dogs crap on my 3' x 10' landing strip of grass. Then poop on their cars!
I use fire prime and am still with hulu + for the rest of this month. Dropped my direct tv (as of 4/1) and for hockey I found a few different ways to watch the kings and I get the NHL network via the web as well as nbcsn. I have found a bunch of user friendly ways to watch other hockey games and most everything else I need via torrents but I am still learning about them. I have someone who is helping me out with this stuff and I literally only just started making changes so I don't know how everything works just yet or what I am actually doing but I do know that I have already saved about $40 per mo and next month when I drop DTV I will save another $100 per as well. Once I get the hang of everything I am doing I will post the specifics but the Amazon Fire/Prime thing works great for most everything and the other "apps" are easy and work great a bunch of which are free.
Yeah if you get the sportsdevil add on for Kodi, you can watch a ton of sports but the quality is hit and miss. I'm watching hockey through hockeystreams.com on the FTV app some guy built. It rarely freezes and is in HD quality. They show the UFC fights on there some times too. Although, that last one where the two chicks were fighting, the thing froze and when I got it back on the fight was over. Lasted like 12 seconds or something.
Some apps to DL for fire TV:
All Cast (lets you stream stuff from your phone like Chromecast - paid like $5 for that)
Showbox - you'll probably need to DL Aptoide (a droid app repository) - **** loads of movies and TV. I watch the Goldbergs with this app.
Crackle - free movies and TV shows
Kodi - I already told you about this but it's awesome. I was so excited when I found every season of Married with Children. I also found the original Fubar (Canadian movie). I had only seen the second one and could never find the first.
Between Kodi, Showbox, Crackle, Amazon Prime and Hockey Streams, it is impossible to be bored. The one thing Hulu+ is good for is if you watch new series that are on. They have stuff from comedy central and all the major OTA networks. But you can get half that stuff just by using an OTA antenna (which I also have). The cool thing about canceling hulu is they offer you a discount to come back which can be a good deal if you do actually like stuff they have on there and you can't find it elsewhere.
Anyway, I'm sure I sound like a total newb to a techy but I've spent about a year researching and slowing learning how to use all this stuff.
EDIT: If you don't have an OTA antenna, you can build one for a few bucks. I actually built one of these and some chick I brought home a while back thought it was a sculpture.. lol!
