That was an awesome episode of Better Call Saul last night. Banks' speech at the end will earn him an Emmy nomination for sure. I also love the cinematography on this show.

I have every episode TiVo'd. Think I'll have a marathon soon.

better call Saul is going to end up being a better show than breaking bad. this first season has been nothing short of amazing

Hey, seventh cat in line. We said "black cat auditions, not black and white cat auditions!"

Poor tuxie :(

Tuxedo cats are the best cats though

Exactly.

You go to their web site, and it tells me: Great news! FIOS is available in Brea!

Then you call them to sign up, and they say: Sorry! Not your neighborhood! But we got this great DSL package that you will love— *click*

Talk about a bait and switch. **** 'em.

TWC, COX, and AT&T have the OC. I live in the 909 and even then, we have Verizon FiOS.

I heard horror stories about data caps in California alone, even though this state has Silicon Valley to the point even South Bronx has access to Verizon FiOS.

That is more the FCC's fault than anyone else's. Giving monopolies to Cable and Fiber optic providers was another of their moronic decisions.

Even in real life, I know tons of people that resent Comcast, to the point they point out how Comcast's preceding reputation humiliates Philadelphia, PA, outside of the East Coast.

Trivia: which major West Coast city Comcast purposely avoided before it implemented its much-maligned data caps in 2008?

Yep. During the year we lived downtown, our complex was "only one of a few" in about a two-mile radius was not wired for FIOS (the manager herself told me this). Thankfully, we do get it now (although with Frontier coming in, we'll see how long we stay with them once our two-year agreement runs out).

All the buzz right now is over "net neutrality," but this article articulates what I was thinking last week; the "other" FCC ruling might actually turn out to have a greater-reaching impact:

Frontier still claims it's in process but I hope FCC steps in before it gets finalized. The Pacific Northwest used to have Verizon FiOS but Frontier bought them out. :shakehead:cry:

That ruling just screams corporate protectionism.
