Hasn't stopped the soccer games from selling their tickets, but then they're actually winning most of their games, so...It also doesn’t help it’s 100+ outside lol

so we can trade it away for 1 year of service for a mediocre OFWe should be thanking Waino. He’s helping us with a top 5 pick. Hopefully we select an ace there.

Do MLB drafts usually have a consensus top 5 or 10 players like the NHL usually does (with 1-2 surprise picks)? I always get the impression that it’s a crapshoot in the MLB draft outside the top 1-2 picks, but I don’t follow it at all.The Cards are currently drafting 5th with a pretty tough remaining schedule. I doubt they’ll be able to out-suck the bottom 4, But I’d be happy with 5th. There is a lottery, so you never know…

It's even more hit or miss compared to the NHL. If you look at the top 5 picks from the 2010-2020 drafts there are a lot of busts and few truly elite players.Do MLB drafts usually have a consensus top 5 or 10 players like the NHL usually does (with 1-2 surprise picks)? Matz is their best pitcher and he was benched because he couldnt get anyone out at one point. This isnt a fluke 'down' season. Injuries didnt cause this. This is a horribly mismanaged roster coupled with horrible coaching staff hires/promotions.
With all of that -- Mozeliak still has more job security than the average American could ever hope for.
I see no way how this is just a retool at this point as they are claiming. They're tanking and the loser mentality is creeping in. The entire pitching staff is awful.
You cant retool an entire pitching staff over one offseason -- especially not Mozeliak. He has lost all credibility after trading away the impact players he has in recent years.
Yep. Maybe hold onto them until the '24 TDL to see if a miracle happens but they're not going to be a part of the future if they have to rebuild and that looks very likely.we need a rebuild. I’d start this off season by moving Arenado and Goldy.
