One of, if not the The weirdest first goal for a player ever?
He has certainly earned it though. Im pretty sure he hit the bar with that snipe late in the third aswell.
Very few mistakes from Steen, hes always looking around, very aware. High hockey iq.
I like his attitude.
Sixth round, 165th overall. This may save a scouts job. If only they could figure out the first three rounds...
would he be an Axelsson pick? Gotta figure he was/is?
I would say so, maybe this cancels out the Urho and JFK selections? Assuming he was part of that. JFK was another BIG miss.
Is JFK actually an Axelsson selection? He played in the USHL the season before he was drafted. Played another full season there, went to BU then turned professional. He was in Sweden before 2013-2014 so maybe Axelsson was a fan of him, but you'd think the bulk of his scouting was that season before his draft and he was here in the States.
Steen as looked good this year in his call-ups with 4 points in 5 games. The only game he didn't record a point was against Vancovuer where he played barley 7 minutes.
The most impressive thing for me though is....wait for it.....his compete level. The guys is always working his ass off and making opponents earn everything. He doesn't give up on plays and isn't afraid to play heavy game despite being 5'9 and 199lbs.
Almost as good as Craig Janneys off his face first goalOne of, if not the The weirdest first goal for a player ever?

Again, love his slow but steady progression since his u20, even u18 years.
Wasn't Studnickas first also off his face?Almost as good as Craig Janneys off his face first goal
