I want to see Steen getting a solid chance, that is all. Play him on the third line for a while. he has looked good in the 2 games he was up, he has looked good in the A, and the bottom 6 isnt exactly looking amazing so why why why isnt he getting a solid chance.

Just stop,

Why would Steen get a chance when you have guys like Kuhlman Blidh Frederic and Lazar in the lineup.

Another good game for Steen! Has scored a point now in each of his games, except the one where he barely got to play (only 7 minutes of icetime). Again, really hope that he gets a proper chance.

Brick said last night what most of us here have known- 'he's an NHL caliber player.' Steen should be playing every night on the 3rd or 4th lines as needs require. From game to game there might be a bit of a better option available but he needs to stay in and find his game and NHL level.

I'd like them to play Steen on the third line so he's with better skilled players and move Foligno down to the 4th. I think it's pretty clear Steen has NHL chops and needs to be pushed along properly. He could be our Connor Garland.

I said it in a different thread, but I don't think Debrusk and Steen on the same line makes sense. One still learning, the other struggling/coasting. Debrusk is the job he should be taking - deal Debrusk, move Foligno off his silly side, and that's a solid third line. Working off Nosek isn't a bad place to be for him now - he's a guy who can play 4th line, unlike Studnicka for example. Let the kid marinate there for a while - let Lazar sit, or move him to C and play Nosek at wing.

You're crazy. He'd be claimed in a heartbeat.

Don't think so....

$1 million/year contract 2 years? Bruins have at least 5 players now who should be playing over this plug. Other than his first goal yesterday he was dog poop. Give me Blidh over Fred any day of the week.

2020/21 40 games 5 points and -8
2021/22 20 games 4 points

Maybe he is claimed but like i said. Not overly concerned.

Steen definitely needs a spot though. He’s very clearly an NHLer at this point, and one that may be able to help with secondary scoring.

Steen is better then Khulman and Lazar in my books but what happens is anyone's guess.I think Steen chipping in on score sheet way more often should hold more weight though.

I would rather see kuhlman waived before Frederic. although Fred hadn't shown a lot this year I feel he has far more upside then kuhlman. I think Fred would likely get claimed.
Agree.

I don't know why Kuhlman has stuck for so long.

He's the definition of JAG, he's a whole lot of hustle, but not a lot of other things that make me see an NHL player.

AHL call-up. Good character guy, but just not a guy I'm seeing as a regular on a good team.

I barely agree with this.
Really hard to choose over both evils...lol

DeBrusk isn't coasting, there's been a lot of effort in his game for most of the season.

Despite his production decrease, DeBrusk and Coyle are much better skilled players than Frederic/Blidh and Nosek and would provide opportunities for a kid with the skills of Steen to shine a little more ( as well as seeing more minutes ) than being on the 4th.

Kuhlman vs Frederic is such a no-brainer to me that it's surprising it's even a question. I'm not even a huge Frederic fan, but he has a lot of things that this org lacks (size, grit, can play center, has some upside still, might actually have value to other teams). Kuhlman is a small, tenacious winger with no finish who does nothing particularly well. He's a textbook JAG. You absolutely waive Kuhlman over Frederic 100 times out of 100.

Agreed.

I know draft position means virtually nothing after they start developing.

But it would be a very Bruins thing to do to waive Frederic (former first rounder) to keep JAG Karson Kuhlman on the roster.

Either way, as for this thread.

Steen 100% over Karson Kuhlman.

Kuhlman has NEVER produced at any level. For a team struggling with offense, and with the signing of so many "defensively responsible" vets. We can risk throwing a young guy with offensive potential instead of another limited depth role player. Kuhlman isn't even
