A little interesting Smith and Griffin playing tonight with the rumours that one of them will be on the way out for Gibson as soon as tomorrow. I wonder if either them play sheltered minutes

That's why it's called rumours.. but maybe game time they are scratched...let's hope lol the generals better be getting a forward to replace griffin cause the Gens are thin upfront besides the heavily rumoured Gibson To oshawa trade..

My is it's either Smith plus picks for Gibson or Smith and Griffin for Gibson and Mignosa.

Yes both are playing for Oshawa tonight because nothing is official until filed with the league office.

Don't be surprised if any trade including a Team Canada player isn't made official until Monday

To be realistic the Gens need a couple more depth forwards and obviously a dominating Dmen that can take control and shut down the opposition.. Can they do it ? Who knows. In my opinion other then Oster the other two overagers are on block too.. they need more production from them to take up those spots and that is hurting the Shwa... look at the production last year from our overages that's what we should expect, we don't have that on this team this year.

The only OA on the block is D'Amato.

How can you say Torrence is on the block? He's 3rd on the team in scoring, +19 (best on team), and is over a point per game?

Last year, after the early Team Canada elimination, the OHL Team Canada players that got moved (Beck and Donovan) were moved on the Monday. I expect the same this year as well. Look for Pinelli, Gibson, and Luchanko to be announced sometime late Monday afternoon…. Assuming deals are in place by then of course.

Seriously! If I hear one more person say Torrence should be traded lol. He kills penalties blocks shots scores timely goals. What the hell else is he supposed to do? He plays the game right. Perfect OA.

It's actually insane. It's been almost 7 months of people saying he needs to be traded and he has done nothing but prove everyone wrong lol

You absolutely can, it's a free country....except on these boards, gotta watch what you say.

But, I will play fantasy Gens Manager with you for arguments sake cause I enjoy it, if it's civilized.

Lets say Oshawa wanted to trade Torrence for an UPGRADE, who would you expect them to get?

Not sure. BTW. I like torrence that's not the question I'm saying they should explore the options.

Every option is open and so they should

Fair. I just don't see him being in their shopping list this year.
i dont think they are actively shopping him or looking for an upgrade but if something pops up then i can see them looking at it. allard as an example.

Oster is really struggling. . Gens needs a back up goaltender asap.. Bowen from peterbourgh is looking very good at this point..

Teams defence won't get better if the coaching doesn't get better and that isn't happening.. weird situation.
I don't think 8 games is enough sample size to criticize a new coach, given his record is 4-3-1 since taking over.

Osters numbers are product of the defense in front of him. Better defence results in better goalie play and less 2 on 1s and giveaways. Hunt will sort that out in the next week.

Finding a new goalie and derailing the development of the goalie of your future is not the route I would go. This team is going to rebuild for Gravelles OA year.

I agree their defence are weak I'm just saying last night he let in 4 goals from the point 1 was screened the other 3 weren't. He was shaky to say the least.

To clear up the North Bay-Oshawa rumor from my part.

The word on the street on New Years day was Oshawa had a pending deal with North Bay that included one of their scratches that night.

Scratches were:
Ritchie (Canada), Roobroeck (AHL), Wang(OJHL), Graham, McDonnell and O'Toole.

Given those scratches, it was highly likely the scratches player in mention was either Graham or McDonnell. There was also word that Oshawa was sending a pick with said player.

Based on the value going out from Oshawa, it was determined through value comparison that it would either be Jacob Therrien or Wyatt Kennedy. With Therrien out with a shoulder injury, all eyes went to Kennedy.

It was never confirmed from credible source that Kennedy was the return on a pending deal, purely speculation that ended up making it's rounds on the rumor mill.

Was there ever a deal with North Bay planned? Who knows, possibly but the player(s) involved from North Bay was never confirmed.
