Rumours about Gens adding elite forward and elite D. Not a lot to give up for both plus depth as rumoured. Can we start the Roobereck back as the elite forward rumour ? Lol.

The rumoured Gibson+Mignosa for Smith+Griffin+picks deal would meet that criteria. I would imagine there would still be a couple of picks left if that goes through.

Hypothetically adding a top pairing D like Gibson frees them up to move D'Amato for additional forward depth. Maybe Erie pivots after the Schaefer injury and deals a guy like Fimis. Van Steensel, Filak, Karabela (if healthy), and Allard could also be fits.

Adding 3 players like that with limited picks would be a nice bit of work from Hunt.

The big question on the Gibson deal is if Mignosa is attached to him. If it is, that actually helps Oshawas draft cupboard as acquiring elites for Smith and Griffin separately would be costly.

Elite goal scorers that may be available
Misa,Lardis,Romani,OVS, Pinelli
Saginaw isn't moving Misa it sounds like. Brantford won't move Lardis, they want him for next year.

Pinelli is linked to Barrie and a Western team I'm told.

I can definitely see OVS or Romani being available but I doubt Oshawa gets both

I wouldn’t say Mignosa is an elite goal scorer though, he’s scored 60 goals in 206 ohl games, 22 was his season high. Hes definitely not the type of addition that pushes the needle

LArdis has signed his ELC. I doubt he returns as an OA.

Lardis is signed he won’t be back next season.

If Misa going to school is true and they figure that out before Jan 10th I bet he becomes available

I agree. I think that deal would probably leave enough picks for an OA upgrade as well.

He may not be an Elite forward but he is still an upgrade up front. Oshawa is pretty set with their top 6.

Exactly. Just depends if they want the OA upgrade on D or F

With 15 goals in 26 games this season, Mignosa is playing at a 40 goal and 90 point pace over 68 games. He's also a terrific penalty killer. I think he does move the needle.

I would also expect him to be back as an OA to help recoup some picks next year.

If Misa were available, we’d have heard by now. Everything out there suggests they are not moving him. If they were entertaining moving him, they’d likely be looking at Parekh as well. No word on him either. Saginaw is going to stand pat. They will move both of them next season. IF Misa is not back, I think they would be disappointed but I don’t think they care. I don’t think they’d move him even if he were 100% not coming back next year. Sounds dumb and I’d agree but I think that is the mentality there.

I agree, I think they want the potential 1st overall pick to come from their organization. He already helped win them the Memorial cup. I think they wait and bank on him returning.

I think Mignosa would fit into your top 6 nicely imo. He's only two points behind Torrance who is 3rd in your team in goal scoring and Miggy has played less games. Not to mention his point production would only increase playing on a much stronger Oshawa team. He's a better add than it might seem on paper. Really blossomed after his second year. Only downfall is his physicality. And when the game gets rough he tends to shy away.

Oh I agree, I think Mignosa would slot into 2nd line beautifully.

I could easily see a top 6 looking like

Torrence-Ritchie-Sennecke
Barlow-Sinivuori-Mignosa

And you'd have him back next year as an OA, to move for some restocking. Barring he doesn't go NCAA.

I would like the combo of Romani and OVS .. Romani being a elite goal scorer and OVS giving this team some much needed depth beyond the top two lines.
