I honestly wonder what happens first though.

The Capitals lose a game or the Sabres win a game. Their last regulation loss was to us 3 weeks ago. They've only lost to the Sharks in OT since.

Coincidentally Buffalo's most recent victory came on the same night we beat the Capitals. 3 weeks ago tonight.
Probably the Caps lose. lol. Everything is rotten in Buffalo.

I think we as fans know how easy shit can sprial and fester when bad vibes get into the locker room.

A losing streak can turn into season over real quick when everyone is doubting themselves like that.

Really hard to see how they pull out of this and they would be foolish to let Drury fire and hire another coach
As shitty as last year was I can't honestly remember the atmosphere ever being THIS toxic other than perhaps the MacLoser season when Lou tried to get some guys (re: Langs) out and Kovalsuck was benched a game for missing team meetings, but that season was kind of an extension of the end of 2010-11 when Langs got all hissy about Lemaire wanting to take away the C for a preseason game, among other things.

Couldn't even get it to OT. Man Buffalo are f***ing losers
The thing with stuff is his teams can skid into some long losing streaks. Ironically last year was the only season during his time here that didn’t have a 6+ game losing streak. Even the 113 point season had this. 21-22 had 3 such long losing streaks.

What forcing your captain out of town will do to a locker room.

It's a tough business, but the way Drury handled this situation was nasty.

Then throwing Kreider under the bus despite being the good soldier for the Rags for years along with him?

Players will get over it when folks get fired and they will still attract free agents but for this season that was poison

I'll never understand why they hired him if they were serious about getting better

And Langenbrunner had been asked to waive his no trade in offseason. The run under Lemaire started two days after Langenbrunner was traded.

(You know what I don’t really like this comparison).

He couldn't be less available if anyone tried

It was always a pipe dream. Realistically I don't think he would've ever been moved until his last year if they still sucked. Even if he demanded a trade now or before then I could see them saying to suck it up and try to turn it around and entice him to stay rather than move him unless they got a whopper of an offer

Jackson LaCombe has 6 goals in 22 games lol.

He’s a Ducks defenseman for those who don’t care about this sort of thing.

Is it fluky? Sure, but good for him.

1.) Placate the fan base because he is very popular there as he is still the most recent coach to get them to the playoffs.

2.) they saw the strides Jack and Bratt made here and hope he would have that effect with their young players. Though I think it is an open question on whether he can do that with defensemen.

3.) He is probably cheap

Ehh for me, regulation Ls to bottom feeders when you controlled play annoy me way more then an OTL against a good team, even if we should have won.

I assume this is about SJ. They only controlled that game in the 3rd. At best it was like a 50/50 game the 1st 2 periods. That's annoying but the Leafs game was one more annoying to me.

Actually thinking about it. The Sharks game really annoyed me. Too many ex-Devils involved in that game
I'm more annoyed by the Sharks loss because it was only 1-0 and the Sharks are legitimately trash. But people act like they aren't because they have a winning record since losing almost their first 10 games of the season? #MarketCorrections

But getting shutout by Wedgewood (again) was even more annoying than getting shutout by Blackwood, because we've only played Blackwood twice and the first time he didn't even last a period. That's his only decision against us.

The inability to beat Wedgewood is one of the stupidest constants I can remember in franchise history.

That Colorado game is annoying for that reason and the fact if that goal isn't disallowed, the result is probably different.

But based on how they played in the 2nd they really didn't deserve that game.

Look at the roster we put on the ice tonight: roughly half of those guys do not belong in the NHL. There are AHL teams with older rosters than our alleged NHL one, peak Barry Trotz wouldn't be able to do anything with this stinking pile of dogshit. Kevyn failed as bad as any GM in history but THE problem is the guy who hired him and we will likely be a hopeless basket case until he either dies or (hopefully) puts his oldest daughter in charge of running it (which is what everyone says he plans to do eventually).

Powers struggles surprise me. I'm not surprised Luke is better then him, but considering how the draft hype that year was, I'm surprised the gulf is as wide as it is

Power was super overrated. Hyped up as a two way D because he’s 6’6 but always sucked defensively. He’s been what I expected him to be. I liked Edvinsson but I’m surprised by just how great he’s been especially this early. Elite defensively while facing some of the toughest usage in the league. Detroit’s still lacking up front but Seider/Edvinsson/ASP is amazing. Would’ve been an even better top 4 if they kept Walman but Yzerplan babyyyyy

The crazy thing with Luke was his September birthday, you were drafting a 17 year old. I remember Power as a pretty much as consensus #1, maybe there was a little hype for Beniers. STI has talked at length about how the hockey community equates size and skating ability with defensive ability when it comes to drafting defensemen, but they're separate. That said, I do remember STI being pretty confident in Power and felt he was a worthy #1.
