Flames are really punching above their weight this season. Hard nosed brand of hockey

Calgary now takes 2nd place in the Pacific Division with their 11-6-3 record.

If you go by Win %, Calgary’s .625 would be good enough for:
3rd in Atlantic
4th in the Central
5th in the Metro

1. Good to see the Pacific Division back to being a complete dumpster fire. (@Bleedred)

2. I was told the Metro was getting less competitive. When is that happening again?

I said it earlier but Calgary reminds me of a lot of 17-18 Vegas. No one even thinking of them as a playoff team or a threat but a veteran team that has guys who have won elsewhere and contributed big time coming together on the basis of "league thinks we're washed" mainly Huberdeau, Kadri, etc. If they can get good goaltending out of Vladar and Wolf, they'll be a fun watch all year. Huska, Carbery and Brindamour are the 3 finalists right now for the Jack Adams imo, have fun deciding who deserves it more lol

Preds fans want Burnette fired ASAP
I remember one of their fans saying they believe he's forcing them to play a style that their not suited for and it doesn't work with the current (old) roster like it did for them last year.

Although they were kind of old last year too. They got rid of one 34 or 35 year old (McDonagh) only to pick up two more.

They've reached "fighting during practice" levels of dysfunction. I doubt he's going to be let go any time soon unless things go well and truly south.
They probably have to be 10 games under NHL 500 or something like that or an 8 or 10 game losing streak for him to go in-season.

I have a feeling they're already treating this season as a lost one in the front office and internally. So they'll probably fire him in the offseason, unless it gets really bad there this season.

And then it'll be interesting to see if they'll go the ''Rebuild'' route like Trotz said they might have to do or if they'll be competing once again.

I honestly think they probably should have been in rebuild mode starting last year, but they overachieved and made the playoffs.
