Ehhhh I guess we're down to this due to injuries. But once we're healthy, not sure he will play over just about anyone. He sucks defensively and our top 9 is pretty full. I'm not a fan of his game.

Maybe this is pre-cursor to a trade in a week or two if he does well.

If he can be a little more NHL than Nick Robertson you will have already upgraded that marginal player with something that’s a little more respectable.

Treliving deserves a lot of credit here. Alex Nylander will likely not be on the team for the rest of the season, but he's definitely an NHL-level player, and he was added to the depth without taking up a roster spot. I think all those little moves to add depth have paid off. In the past, we would have dumped a pick for a tweener in this situation.

Honestly, brothers getting to play with one another is at least a fun story for a while

I used to play goal as well as defence, and when my twin sons were born my (ex) wife said "there's your matched set of defencemen". One shooting right and the other left seemed to clinch it.

Ian switched to goal very early, so that never quite happened. But there was one season in an adult beer league where his brother and I played D in front of him. Special memories.

Guessing Robertson traded, Reaves waived, I think coach likes Kampf as 4th line centre so maybe Holmberg goes if A Nylander sticks?

I don’t think Nylander and Holmberg are related ones offensive ones defensive I would tie him more to Robertson
