Teams love to play spoiler this time of year, I get what you're going off and I'm not knocking it but hockey is definitely the hardest sport to predict game to game. A shitty goalie can have a random shutout v an elite team

Last year the bottom 6 teams of the East finished the season with these records:

PHI 6-10-4
OTT 10-10
BUF 10-8-2
NJ 8-11-1
MTL 6-8-6
CLB 6-12-2

I don’t see much spoiling going on there. I understand what you are saying but a team obviously wants a schedule more against the bottom of the conference teams that sold and are not on the bubble than the top of conferences or ones on the bubble battling. Rangers vs Devils remaining schedule is a vast difference. Which would make it even more sad if Devils fall out to them

I really never look at schedules like this, but this year is different in terms of the big quality of difference between NJs schedule compared to NYR and CLB. (Remember the very difficult schedule NJ had in oct and Nov while Rags had the easiest? Its now flip flopped)

Which will piss me off even more if they continue this horrid pace.

I bring this up because NJ couldn’t have gotten an easier finish, especially with all the home games and lack of travel in April. Either they get in due to this schedule or a massive embarrassment (ontop of the already embarrassing 2025) will take place

So if the Rangers make the playoffs Drury is probably safe.

Is Lavi? I’ve been calling Sullivan to the Rangers for a couple of years now, but now I’m wondering if Sullivan to Boston is what really happens?

Can Sullivan survive three playoff misses? I didn’t even think he’d survive two.

One of the most forgotten pieces of history outside of Boston is that Mike Sullivan was in fact the head coach of the Bruins for two seasons in 03-04 and 05-06. I guess Chiarelli became GM and canned him. And Sullivan didn’t have a head coaching gig in the league again until almost 10 years later with the Pens.

Another one nobody remembers from way back when. Bruce Cassidy’s one and a bit year stint as Capitals head coach around the same time. That was his only NHL head coaching gig until the Bruins promoted him to head coach during the 16-17 season.

No that’s what I meant - last season. If we can’t do that here, then Jesus
They were winning at that ugly rate for the last 2.5 months with Jack, which just goes to show you how pathetic this team has been even when healthy. Basically on par with last years team’s when they had the injuries.

I would adjust expectations to zero for these last 18, regardless of QoC or any other factors.

We need them to beat Columbus 3 times coming up. I figure Sens as one of the WC teams. We need their help coming up (besides against us in two weeks)
I want Sens out so Brady demands out. Fitz does his only good work in the off season! Hang at Bradys new house on the beach here in Jersey and sell it! Plus cousins and all!
Mercer, one of the young d men and a pick or two. Redeem yourself Tommy!

Being just the backup and for a team like the Panthers and any team that isn’t the Sharks is probably the best thing Vitek can do to resurrect his NHL career.
