Graves kinda put him in a tough spot giving him that puck. Just hasn’t been a fit for Graves over in Pitt. And at least if they get good value for Toffoli at TDL it can help absolve the continued sting of lindy basically rendering sharangovich as a bit piece. Under the right could have been continuously good in NJ with the speed and shot. But I I don’t wanna open up that can of worms because it’s not the reason this season has been a disaster.

Meh, idk. If we can flip Toffoli at 50% and avoid paying him and then use those assets for a goalie then it's a win in my book. I like Shara but his shooting at a ridiculous clip and he's not as great defensively as he's made out to be

Again, Yegor is a nice player but he doesn’t create enough given his ice time and would not be in our top 6. He would maybe help on our bottom 6 though. But we saw what happened when he got those minutes last season.


Idk why we keep having this conversation on here. The team can’t hold onto every player, moving him was the right decision and I do not see a different player there in Calgary.

He isn’t good defensively 5v5 and can’t cycle so he didn’t work with Nico.

He didn’t produce when he was dropped into the bottom two lines last season.

Logan Thompson played like the ECHL caliber goalie I’m convinced he would be if he were playing for about 25 other teams in the NHL.

Vegas makes Adin Hill look elite, but he was an okay goalie in San Jose.

They make Thompson go to the all star game and look like a decent to solid goalie, but I will never be convinced that isn’t a less than mediocre goalie until I saw him demonstrate that he’s not on some other team.

We’ve been lifeless against teams that play the trap. Maybe because you can’t rush through center ice and make easy entries against them. You have to chip, chase and cycle and we can’t play that game. As in “can not,” have no capacity for it, particularly post McLeod. And anyway even if it’s not “can not” then certainly “will not” chip pucks in and cycle.

That’s why I say, I think a lot of people are overly-paranoid that there won’t be a coaching change. Ruff isn’t coming back next year.

And they may even have to do a mercy firing before that if the fans can’t help themselves at the games this month.

I have next to no worry about them getting knocked out, keep in mind this is with an elite Panarin going. Teams will play heavy like the Devils did round 1 last year and it's probably curtains for the Rags.
