The season isn’t over for NJ. It was a bad loss to Dallas but it doesn’t count any more in the standings than an unlucky loss where they played well. They are still alive. Hopefully they can rally.
optimistically if you look at the standings this is true.

but the frustration comes from watching what’s happening on the ice. they shouldnt be this shitty of a team night in and night out. managing to eke past a couple of other shitty teams just to get embarrassed in the first round is still a step back, but right now it doesn’t even look like they’ll be able to do that because we’ve reached the point where it’s a collective lack of confidence up and down the whole roster.

we’ve seen this a couple of times in the past decade and it didn’t end well.

Just wanted to say how absolutely pathetic Gibson was in that game last night against the Sharks. Including a softy of the night.

His numbers are back down where the usually are the last 5 years.

f*** Anaheim for their ridiculous asks earlier in the season lol
Hopefully he finishes below .900% on the season yet again. I’m hoping Fitz refuses to acquire a goalie that’s finished under .900% for two straight seasons now and below the league average since the first year Keith Kinkaid has been off the Devils and since John Hynes and Ray Shero were last with the Devils.

I’m not suggesting NJ has played well lately but if you want a new coach that isn’t going to happen until they bottom out. If you want them in thr playoffs it’s almost certainly with Ruff at the helm. If he hasn’t lost the room it’s possible they rally a bit. If he has they will continue their uninspired play.

why do we have to bottom out? islanders didn’t, oilers maybe you could say so but we’re just as disappointing. waiting until it’s too late is a slap in the face to fans

Lou very seldom waits for a total bottoming out but they’ve only won two of their last ten and five of seventeen, that’s pretty close to one at least

Nah, man. He's good, that injury will probably cost his season I feel like and probably the Stars cup chances.

LOL @ Wedgewood being a sieve again
I maintain he’s still overrated, but that’s Wedgewood.

I was driving lol.

Oettinger is hurt again? He just got back.
