Their media let him off the hook for that and no one asked him about it (as far as I know) and what he's thinking now that there has been a coaching change.

Since he's a super irrelevant player, most people probably forgot about that. Including the media.

I don't really blame him for playing Varlamov, as long as he has a quick pull if it starts to go bad.

Varlamov is his boy from Colorado, which is weird because when asked if Varlamov had been a difference maker in the last year Roy was in Colorado, Roy straight up threw him under the bus and said no. Despite Varlamov not actually being bad that year.

Varlamov said he got chills when he heard Roy was their new coach this year too.

Broadcast mentions last time Canes came back from a 3 goal deficit in he playoffs was game 1 of the SCF in 2006. Dwayne Roloson was on fire, gets unfortunately injured, then in comes Ty Conklin....that game still pisses me off. I still believe Edmonton wins the cup if Roloson didn't get injured, even though the 3rd stringer the Oilers started the rest of the way did a decent job.
