Just take the L already.
What's your problem with what I'm saying? That the Panthers look like they're on fumes?

That's how it looked in period 1. I think they're using the last of what they have.

They looked good in game 3, yes. I don't think they looked great to start this one though. They took over at some point in the 2nd.

And they definitely looked about spent by the OT periods in both game 2 and 3. Particularly game 2.

It was hard to say tonight what they looked like in OT, it ended so quick.

You keep pushing a notion that Florida quickly dispels.

You’ve been wrong all night.

If Bob doesn’t shit his pants I feel good about the Panthers taking this now.
That's a BIG IF right there.

That's kind of what happened last game though and on the OT goal in game 2 definitely. Though the Rangers definitely got the breaks last game. They also got saves from Igor that Bob wasn't giving them in game 3.

I'm not pushing a notion that Florida quickly dispels. There's been times in this series from game 2 onward where they've looked a bit out of gas. First time I noticed it was the OT period in game 2. Maybe even late in the 3rd, I forget exactly.

Game 3 they did not look like they were out of steam, until the OT period probably, still they had better chances in that OT than the game 2 OT.

They looked very defeated to start this game. And they used a lot of energy in game 3 only to lose.

It's been a long two playoffs for them.

Just because a team isn't dominating every minute of the game doesn't mean they are on fumes. How come you don't use that standard against the Rangers? They're getting caved for most of the time in these games. They would be packing their bags for the golf course if Shesty wasn't in god mode.

Florida in 6
I think they have to win it in 6.

I don't like their chances at a game 7 at MSG.

And I know someone is gonna yell at me for this but......I think they'll be pretty beat up by a potential game 7 in this series.

The Rangers will be beat up too by a game 7, but remember the Rangers aren't on their second straight long playoff run like the Panthers are.

Florida is the one team in the league I will never doubt in any road scenario after what they did to Boston last year. They also destroyed the Leafs/Canes on the road last year. Granted, not the same team, but the same core.

I think the Rangers just aren't that good, though they're not as bad as some people think either. That's why they get caved.

And yes, I'm in complete agreement with you on Shesty in god mode. Goaltending matters and Shesterkin is really the only truly elite goaltender left in these playoffs. I think he's the only goalie you can bet on currently left in these playoffs to win a series (or multiple) by himself.

That doesn't mean nobody else playing can do it (Skinner probably can't lol) but he's the only one I'd bet on.

I don't know how you can say they were the obvious better team when they had to win seven straight OT games just to get to the final. That's a lot of good fortune. But if you don't want to include them, you can look at Montreal a few years ago and their run to the final. This isn't anything unheard of...teams that get outplayed sometimes make deep runs but rarely do they actually get to the full 16 wins required. If the Rangers do it, it has nothing to do with destiny, it will be because their good fortune lasted a bit longer than most others have ever in the past.
You do know when we say “destiny”, its just a saying for good fortune which comes from methods that are not normally seen?

If you think we are saying there is divine stuff going on here then you are wildn’.

So what are you disagreeing with here if you agree that they are on a good fortune run?

I hope you're right....I'm just not as high on Florida right now. I'm still wondering if we've seen their best in this series the last two games.

I know, I know. Blah blah blah, they aren't out of gas.

I sure hope they're not.

I dunno why people are saying the panthers are running on fumes. If that’s running on fumes then what are the rangers playing? In cement quick sand?
The Rangers kind of playing in cement quick sand lol.

You're right. I'm taking the L.

Florida's got a full tank of gas. They look ready to win the cup this time.

They look like they could play into July if they really wanted to.

That's what I would worry about too. Panarin/Kreider/Mika have next to nothing this series, you EXPECT them to show up at some point. Florida's starts have been lackluster in some games too and you know NYR will be ready at home. Maybe the Rags are running on fumes, Shesterkin can't keep doing this night in and out. At the worst, Florida is softening them up for a very good Dallas team. Would really hope Dallas ends the Oilers in 5 or 6 and rests till the SCF
