I still roll my eyes at all the 'Rangers are lucky' posts...no, they do what you need to do in the playoffs, win ugly, low-scoring games, get contributions from role players, grind teams down.

They're 4-0 in the playoffs OT or some shit like that's a 1/16 chance. You need luck for that, they're a good team but let's stop blowing air up their asses

Tkachuk hasn't done something crazy in awhile. You know it's going to happen at some point. He's a lunatic.

It looks like right after they took the lead the Rangers took control back of the hockey game.

It's been all Rangers since the 2-1 Panthers goal. And now a power play for the Rangers.

Catching up but I didn’t think a bar down snipe is a soft goal. I’ve certainly see similar not called soft when a devils goalie gave it up
I think he played it kind of weird. It looked like he shrugged his shoulder at it or tried to shrug his shoulder at it after it was too late. It was one timed though. It reminded me of the OT winner in game 2 against him, but that one in game 2 was definitely worse.

And I certainly wouldn't have ever been one to say something wasn't soft on a Devils goalie, that's for sure.

Off the post

That was almost another Bob special

Nah, that was a nasty move by Lafreniere. Guy thinks he's Jagr all of a f***ing sudden lol

The Panthers need to keep attacking.

But they’ve had a nasty habit of “don’t go for the knockout Apollo, you’ve got it won!” too many times lately.

I can’t seem to go an entire night without a Rocky reference in this thread.

This is the same shit that Bleed constantly mentions with the Oilers, you keep them within striking distance because of the insane goalie (Edmonton obviously doesn't have it) and it gives them time for guys like Panarin, Zib and Kreider to do something. Or apparently f***ing Barclay Goodrow/Lafreniere this series

They have 4 OT wins (2x CAR, 2x FLA) and no OT losses.

Florida had 7 OT wins, with no OT losses, last year. That’s lucky too.

You can be lucky and good at the same time.

As others have pointed out, the Rags don’t grind down anyone, they wait for opportunities.

They're also the only team to get away with that play style, it's similar to what the Isles did under Trotz. Some teams just eek out wins in the dumbest ways, it's not conventional or whatever but if that's how they do it, oh well. That's the name of the game, ask how many not how lol

Results deviating from statistical norms does not make it lucky.

Unless that is all that luck is.
