GOOD! Jets win!

f*** that

Redemption for getting hosed on that bullshit goal that should have never counted.

I thought it can't be a goal if the goalie's mask is off? Maybe that's not a rule though, I don't know. Or maybe it is a rule, all depending on when they feel like it or not.

Stars goal should not have happened. The second Helle’s lid came off , the play is blown dead. Hard to believe no one saw that and let the play continue.
Even linesmen can blow it dead . Very odd play.
Rule is that regardless of possession etc. play is blown dead the moment goalie is helmetless. Dude can get killed by that. A 105 mph clapper to the dome?!? Done.

This is not the rule. The rule is that the whistle is immediate if there isn't an immediate scoring chance. I didn't see the play, but we saw something like this happen last year on a Devils goal.

The whole sequence was ugly. The goalie’s head was blasted by Benn. The Jets defender rode Benn towards the goalie. I am not surprised the refs didn’t know what to but the scoring chance wasn’t immediate in my view.

New Jersey(No Fanz!)
They let it stand. Holy shit, that is ridiculous. They waved off our goals against the Leafs and let that stand. The league is a goddam joke.
They waved off our goals because IT WAS AGAINST THEIR LEAFS!

It's pure overt CONFLICT OF INTEREST that is being condoned by the League not doing anything about it.

Any other Canadian team? They're like "whatever".

Winnipeg got hosed but fortunately they were able to get the win in OT anyway.

I'm telling you...having the "War Room" in Toronto is doing nothing to portray unbiasness in the League.

Once it was made clear that the Habs one is a tribute to the Expos, I became cool with it and fully realized that if I lived in Montreal I'd end up buying one.

After what happened with Tim Donnaghy, I’ll believe anything.
The SEC is headquartered in….,.Alabama. The 2018 NFC championship was reffed by a crew from LA. Every NBA game is decided by the refs. It’s been a fairly longstanding trope that games against Canadian teams are reffed differently.

How about the Kraken? Love seeing them playing well. Going into Vegas and winning is no easy feat. Hope they make the playoffs.

Carbon copy of us last year, solid team metrics that got sunk by goaltending. They're getting it this year with Martin Jones and look great. Only thing they'd probably want is Wright contributing but he'll be fine imo.
And now Grubauer just came back, so that might not be a good thing for them,

Although,.,..... I do think there's a greater chance of Grubauer having a better season than Jones sustaining his current level of play. Maybe if Jones is just used as a backup the rest of the way then he can end the season with a respectable save percentage, but Jones has been bad for FOUR straight years now. Grubauer has been bad for just ONE year to this point.

His GSAx metrics in Colorado were very mediocre though. He was a negative in GSAx in 2 of his 3 seasons in Colorado, despite a significantly above league average save percentage every single year there. This was at least a little bit of a clue and some foreshadowing as to what happened in Seattle last year.

Jones last 4 years before this was were literally .896%, .896%, .896%, .900%. As well as a three round playoff run in 2019 where I'm pretty sure he was .897% or .898% in like 20 games. He's been one of the absolutely most consistent goalies in the league over the last 4 years, only just consistently BAD. But he's sure been the model of consistency, just not in the way you want to see.

They even make McDavid kill penalties...are there easier jobs than Oilers GM and Coach?

That’s where it’s so great having Hughes and Hischier on their contracts. Imagine the Oilers with a legitimate bottom 6 they could roll out like ours? They’d be unstoppable.

Rangers with god mode Sheshterkin . Run him out there every game possible , get outplayed , but win more times than you lose.
This year it’s Sorokin . Elite goalies make shit coaches/teams look good
And I’m pretty sure Gallant sucks too. At the very best he’s average. I’m nowhere near convinced he’s as elite as I thought he was 2-3 years ago or as elite as most of the league and fans still think he is.

I didn’t think it was fair when Florida or Vegas fired him, but Vegas didn’t get even a little bit worse.

Are the Oilers gonna beat anybody on this trip? Between them and the Flames, did either beat a Metro team on the road? I remember the Flames beat the Flyers but they’re so horrible and shame on anyone that was bamboozled by their FLUKE I mean hot start.

The Flames have had two different trips to the East coast already, because of all the games they played at home. I think 9 of their first 10 games were at home and they’ve had like two different trips to the East coast now in the last 2.5 weeks.

That Pacific division is such a shit division yet again that they shouldn’t allow more than 2 teams to even make the playoffs in that division.

The shitty Canucks are only even 3 spots out of the last wild card and 4 spots out of the first wild card coming into today after their pathetic start.

You are correct. That makes zero sense to me.So the ref has to see the helmet come off , then sit there and thnk and decide if the opposition has the puck and might have an immediate scoring chance ? Then he is supposed to NOT blow the play dead ? Wow. So proority is on goal scoring and flow of the game over a goalie getting potentially killed by a pick to the head ? Makes zero sense to me .

Campbell f***ing sucks. Glad we dodged that bullet.

Offside challenge
Too early for the buyout calculator on that one?

He’s really showing why he was looked at as a bust for quite a while. I think he’s like .891% over his last close to 50 games. I ran the numbers a few games ago. Forgot how many he’s played since.
