That Columbus team doesn't scare me even with Bedard, Hischier is better than whoever is going to be their 2C. And the Devils defense is gonna be way better too.

I’m pretty sure Alex Nedeljkovic is the worst goalie I’ve seen this year. He’s just been absolutely rancid and has let in some of the lousiest, weakest, nastiest, most offensively gross goals I’ve seen this year.
And he’s probable for a loss whenever he’s started.
Already three softies tonight in his game. One of them might be softy of the night, but Binnington has a really good challenge.

that goal is also a great example of why adding Laine would have been an absolute disaster. Kid is allergic to hard work.
Eh, I think what happened here is that Laine didn't want to take a penalty so he held off, not realizing he had already been called for a penalty. It's a dumb play but I don't think it's from lack of effort.
Agree with the larger point, though.
I know that being performatively angry about stupid shit is Torts's schtick, but I have to wonder if he is starting to regret taking the job there a little bit.

I still think the Flyers could finish below CBJ when all is said and done.

The Blues are a shocker to me. I knew they relied a ton on their finishing and sucked at driving play but I didn’t think that if their finished soured they would turn into a very ugly bottom feeder.
They have the talent to snap out of it and at least crawl to mediocrity.
I also have started to jokingly suspect that they are secretly tanking. They would be pretty deadly in the West with the addition of a top 5 2023 pick lol.

They also have an overpaid average (at best) goaltender that’s started off to be on pace for his second consecutive bad season.
And this time they don’t have Husso to bail them out. Nope. They have an old and washed Greiss, who isn’t gonna help bail them out of Binnington.
By the way, he’s one of my most unfavorite players in the league, because he’s such a see you next Tuesday. Always acts like a tough guy and does nothing but talks shit and throws water bottles at people from down a hallway while they’re giving an interview. Kadri is kind of a dick also, so I’m not sure if I completely side against Binnington on the one though.
There’s a big main board thread and he’s not really a well-liked player among a lot of fans and I think the Blues fans have mostly turned on him due to his bloated contract and underperforming.

Flyers need to trade Hart. I'm getting flashbacks of when Schneider single handedly kept us out of the basement where we belonged.
They need legit talent, not middle of the pack stuff.

Hart hasn’t been all that good the last two years though. He could easily regress to something closer to that (not 20-21, as that was really bad) before long.
He wasn’t that bad last year, but had a bit of a death spiral late and it brought his numbers down, and then they shut him down for the remainder of the year.
I think he’s playing over his head this year. I can’t see him keeping this up, as it’s like Shesterkin levels from last year.

Zacha finally breaking out into the perennial 50 goal scorer he was hyped to be. Haula will have a negative goal total after the regular season concludes. Fitz destroying our franchise with lopsided trades and turning the Bruins into a dynasty.

I’ve seen him score goals like that here before.
Keep in mind, that was only Zacha’s third goal of the season in his 16th game. He’s on pace for 46 points and 15 goals. He scored 15 in 70 games last year and 17 in 50 games the year before.

Will Gerard Gallant be fired before or after January 1st of 2024? Two years and some change seems to be about his average from the last two jobs. It was about one full season and parts of two others with Columbus way back in the day.
And don’t even say “Well they’re gonna make the playoffs this year, so it’ll be way after that!” because making the playoffs the year before (and both years with a finals appearance two years before in his last stop) didn’t keep him from being fired from his last two jobs.
