Yeah, so, ummm.

About Sheldon Keefe not being fired mid-season. I’d like to recant on that one.

Pretty sure with our recent stretch Ruff is no longer most likely to be the first coach fired as of right now. Sheldon Keefe has gotta be at the top at this point.

I don’t think he’s quite getting fired yet, but chances are getting greater.

Dubas would to be willing to pull the shoot on the only coach he has ever hired in his career. Although as we discussed earlier it could be a situation where Shanahan steps in and they both go.

Eichel with a nice move to give the garbage team what they deserve.
They’re sort of like Nashville to me, only they aren’t nearly as overrated as Nashville is. No one really calls them a cup contender or a “Strong team” like they do Nashville, but they’re very much like Nashville in that they probably were sort of a contender (Nashville actually was and made it to an SCF) but really aren’t even close anymore and maybe 40%-50% chance to make the playoffs.

I wound love to have Hellebuyck here. He’s definitely the best goalie that’s stuck on a mediocre team right now.

Watch f***in Colorado or the Leafs somehow snag him up with their current goalie dilemmas sandbagging them.

kuli lol

can we has

I was blabbing on and on since the beginning of the off-season to trade for him . Overpay if need be . When there was the Dubois saying he won’t extend plus Wheeler getting the C ripped away from him ( hood thing because he is a dick) and Scheifele having a very uninspired season … plus Trotz not wanting to coach there … I was hoping Hellebuyck would say screw you guys , I want out …
Apparently the horrible COVID protocols in Manitoba / Canada were very hard on him and his family and he wasn’t too happy to be in Winnipeg . He has said straight out he won’t stay for a rebuild . Hopefully we can somehow pry him away . Him and Demko and maybe Saros ( if Askarov hits) are the only elite goalies I can see even remotely being close to maybe becoming available . Any one of those 3 would be deadly. Demko maybe if the Canucks go nuclear rebuild mode and Hellbuyck if he says prior to that he won’t extend and the jets are out of the playoffs

Been trying to get my cousin (lapsed Ducks fan) back on the hockey bandwagon by hyping up Trevor Zegras. My cousin was a huge Kariya fan so he was all in on their 2003 club. But then he disavowed them when Kariya left and didn't really get on board with the Niedermayer/Pronger teams. It was always funny how quickly the Kariya situation turned sour. Kariya was almost immortalized and then basically became persona non grata within a couple weeks.

the sabres are pretty fun to watch not gonna lie. tage thompson is so nasty

however I'm not sold on the playoffs for them just yet- the ghost of craig anderson and old friend eric comrie isn't the most dependable. kinda like the devils lol

Speaking of goaltending, if I'm a Red Wings fan, I'm wondering what the hell Nedeljkovic is doing in net today and why Husso wasn't starting. Husso has clearly been the better goalie by far and this was not a back to back and there's plenty of days between games,

I thought the second Thompson goal was kind of stoppable, as much as I don't wanna nail him on that one.

And the Quinn goal earlier isn't one I'd mark stoppable, but I think that shot might have went in because Nedeljkovic is short. I could easily see a goalie 3 inches taller (like Husso) having that shot peg him and not fly through his armpit and up into the net.

If I'm a Red Wings fan, I'm wondering why we went into a division rival's building and started Nedeljkovic and not the guy that's our starter that we just dropped a pretty hefty couple year contract on. There's not a great chance that Detroit and Buffalo both make the playoffs. If one of them does then it's a pretty safe bet that the other won't, and they pretty much helped them by starting their backup for almost no reason.

I'm not sure why Husso isn't the ''Starter'' there right now, even though I've acknowledged he's had a couple of rough starts to this point.

You don't see Buffalo throwing Ancient Andy into this one.

Noesen still plays in the NHL.. good for him . I liked him as a Devil but he was so up and down with his play. He’d be a good 4th liner for awhile then play like a AHL scrub
