There wasn’t any chance the term “Bills Mafia” was going to hold up as a trademark for anyone but the Bills. You can’t go and try to trademark like…”49ers posse” and think that you’re going to end up owning it. The whole thing is based in intellectual property someone else owns and paid a lot of money to own.

Before anyone gets mad at the Bills or cries for the people who coined the phrase….they said when the trademark was filed they knew it was happening and it was all good.
Yeah. The Bills own the trademark to "Bills", and Bills Mafia is clearly derivative of that. The Bills are doing what every trademark owner would do.

One would hope that they might license the trademark given its origins, but that's about it.

Tonight isn't a must win game. In many ways they can lose & it's better to get those losses out of the system early. Nobody is going 17-0. So grow your nails in time for January...
While I agree with the rest of your post, some team eventually will be the first to do it... might as well be the 2022 Bills.
Any guesses about the Buffalo crowd - % transplants versus % residents who travelled to LA?
Not directly answering your question, but NYS has had essentially zero population growth in over 50 years. Assuming WNY has ~1.0-1.1M residents (counties of WNY, excluding Monroe / Rochester), and an average annual birth rate over that timeframe of 14.0 per 1000, and a death rate of 8.5 per 1000 that's 15,000 births per year for 50 years which didn't show up in population growth, or 750,000 people net growth which never happened because exodus exceeded influx, and ~5.5 per 1000 additional exodus in excess of the death rate, or ~300,000 people, making >1,000,000 total people leaving WNY. Assume about half of those moved to the Carolinas, so another 500,000 around the rest of the USA. Easy enough to believe there is 50k ex-Buffalonians in Southern California, with a guess of ~10k at the game.

Perhaps Bills / PSE will allocate some fraction of proceeds from such trademarked items to charity / Bills foundation.

can anyone explain why tf Shakir is inactive? Between him being at least reliable as a punt returner and looking good as a wideout, I figured he was a lock to get some playing time.

If he got dinged up in practice or something, that’s the only way I can make sense of it.

Pretty obvious that Crowder was never in danger of being cut with Shakir scratched tonight. Dressing both 6 WR's and 4 RB's is a huge stretch, and Jones and Kumerow are core special teamers.

Not a huge fan of dressing 5 RBs and 6 LBs, especially given how few of the LBs are good for much of anything besides ST play, but in the coaching staff we trust, I guess

Gilliam is probably going to be used as a TE a bit as well with Morris out.

Not gonna lie; I'm super nervous about this game. The defense didn't look super dominant against good QBs last year but it is a new season. Have my fingers crossed.

What a terrible throw by Stafford! I love it! 😂 Jackson with a nice catch there.

Bills need to quit with these unforced errors though. They’ve looked like the better team so far. It’s just those 2 turnovers.
