Laferriere and Krygier just scored there first pro goals. Krygier has shown some pretty good offensive moves in this game which is surprising as he seemed to be pegged as more of a defensive d man.

Early on Onatrio looked like utter garbage but got better in the 2nd and 3rd periods. Grans and Moverare pairing is a disaster throughout though. Grans in particular really sucks (at least in this game).

The lost 4-3 in OT but clinched a PO.

Laferrierre scored 1g. However this is where +/- can bd an interesting (please note, just interesting not conclusive) stat. Only 1 forward and 2 D were plus. Nousianen and Bisson were both +1. Laferriere was +3, which for me is extremely interesting and at this point nothing else. It is something though that makes me want to keep an eye on it.

The +3 as a raw number isn’t what interests me, it’s he number relative to his team and line mates. It could easily be a one off anomaly but I am going to track it now.

If one outsider poster mentions +/- it is stale jokes for months.

If it is the buddy buddy club its thumbs up.

No need to apologize for +/- , multiple leagues list it as a main statistic.

Reign just full on terrible thee days....not sure what the hell happened but brutal.

Good question. Don't see much of @regulate posting those terrific updates to keep us in the loop. Miss his reports. Come back to us baby!

Maybe start with coaching? After Sturm went to coach the AHL, this team imploded hard.

Maybe an overreliance on AAAA players? Giving less opportunities to players who could use more icetime? Does our AHL team play to develop talent or to win games?

Maybe team construction? I do not advocate for gooning it up, I can see in this environment requiring 2 goons to ensure players are not targeted (which seems to be strangely normal in the AHL) *cough* Turcotte *couch*

Cal Pet did not elevate his game being sent down.

A Thomas shoulders blew up.

I can't remember the podcase (Kings of the podcast, PDO, 32 thoughts) but there was a mention how our affiliate team had problems due to players believing there was less opportunity to play for the parent club. No shit, Blake has brought in veterans players and stunted development for the kids. Suck it Bjornfot/Spence/Fagemo ect.

Our AHL team certainly has a rot right now. If we lose in quick fashion in the first round we should look towards clearing out the coaching room. Give some of the kids a chance to the parent club. Get some extra capital from trading some of our assets in the NHL, and letting those picks develop properly.

So...the Reign are playing the Eagles...ALL 3 GAMES in Colorado? Sucks for them.
I live 3 miles from the Budweiser center (I wonder if the Bud Light drama will manifest anything
there, for that matter)
But, here the 19th, 21st and 23rd. Sucks, as these are Kings game 2, 3 and 4.,
I may or may not go. I think if Laferriere and /or Pinelli, Clarke or even Portillo were
playing, I may go to 1 or 2. I may still go and record the Kings game. And have a 5.5 hour hockey binge night. Would be horrific, if they posted NHL scores on the scoreboard and would ruin it!
The Reign have just been so gawdawful,

Sorry guys and gals. I didn’t get to watch much of the NHL this year and nothing in the last month. What happened to Chromiak at the end of the year? It looks like his scoring ability fell off a cliff just looking at stats?

How did Turcotte look upon his return? And I do know he would’ve been rusty so I’m not expecting much. Any hopes that with a little bit of health he still may have an NHL future? I was really hoping we would let Moore go to free agency this year, and that Turcotte would’ve been ready to take his place. Doesn’t look like either happened.

Is Sturm finally gone now. He has brought nothing to this organization. Not one kid excelled in Ontario this year. Most of the kids are not in the Black Aces, they are in Black Holes within this organization.

Contract is up. Take it with a grain of salt, in the last kings of the Podcast Mayor thought he might be back. But he also mentioned in could go to Chris Hajt and then though Tony Granato could be a candidate. So it does not appear he has any inside intel on this topic at his time.

I do agree. The kids don't seem to be thriving down there over the last few years. Seemed to be a bit of regression in a few guys this year. Nature vs Nurture. Is it we have shitty prospects or is it we have good prospects with shitty development?

It seems at the time of the drafts we are grabbing highly praised guys through the mainstream pundits and publications, but we have not seen that correlate into an on ice product.

Did anyone ever reveal what fully happened with Wroblewski?
this was the latest blurb i could find:

“I’ll be happy at some point to discuss some of those reasons. I don’t know what that point will be,” Wroblewski said. “But I’ll tell you, I’m in a great space. I’ve got a different outlook on life and where I want to be. And this is exactly where I’m supposed to be.”

guess there's about a million ways to read between the lines there but he's killing it with the women's national team
