There’s definitely a point where the need to recall him and give him a look before the play-offs. If we need to end of carrying 3 goaltenders on the roster then so be it.
The roster size can increase past 23 after the trade deadline, so that's probably the time we might see Petersen back on the team, if he has played his way back to NHL level. His added cap hit will not be much, so unless the Kings add a major piece that pushes them right against the limit, they should be able to bring him back up then.

Trade deadline is Friday March 3. Kings have 19 regular season games after that, so still lots of time for Petersen to reestablish himself as an NHL goalie this season.

How's Grans looked so far this season? His offensive numbers are way down from a year ago. Not known for his big hits or playing staunch defense. Curious if you think his play has improved from last season.

Seemed a little sub par earlier in the year but appears to be rounding back into form.

Yes, except last game against CV Firebirds, when Moverare-Grans had a really rough game. Hopefully they bounce back next game (vs. Coachella Valley again).

I know I go hard on the choir sometimes but great job on the anthem to @Maynard and the pronouns!

Big game for Cal and the Rainstorm to keep building momentum.
Also guys who may be expiring to earn a spot.
Pinelli and Clarke are making some thundering footsteps.
I don't post scores as people watch these games later.
But when you are hot you are hot.

I’d ignore you but I’m pretty sure your parents and teachers already did that.
Now thats a solid funny one.
You are like Cal we sent you down to the minors but you keep battling.
But you never like my posts or other emoji them either.

Chromiak exploding makes me feel less nervous about Arvidsson’s deal expiring after next season. We’ve got some legit top 6 wingers developing nicely in him, Vilardi, and Kaliyev. I hope we get another pleasant surprise out of Laferriere or someone else like Fagemo.

Actually think this gives the option of Trading Arvy at the end of the season if the right deal comes along.

Since the new year- Chromiak has 22 pts in 24 games and last night with some beauty assists and much like Byfield- you can see him getting better by the game. Also note Spence scored again as well. Said many a time that Spence is better than Durzi right now and two years younger having just turned 22.

Yup. Sure Arvi has value. But with the young options we have and limited cap space, trading him his last year is best of both worlds. We get something good in return for a guy that we will not be extending; and gain some cap space. Someone like AK or GV moves into up to the 2nd line. Opens up a lower line spot for a cheap young guy. Giving us more cap space for LHD / G. Maybe decrease in the drop from Arvi to the replacement, but more than offset by the cap space benefit (& trade return). Not to mention allowing movement up the ranks.

I could see it, but Arvidsson has been money this year. I don’t think we should move him given his cap hit and what he brings unless we get blown out of the water with an offer.

One thing I don’t understand is how guys like Spence and Bjornfoot spent a large chunk of last season in the NHL, the team did well and made the playoffs. I understand that they were up due to Injuries, for the most part, but they played well. Forced up before they’re deemed “ready”, but prove that they can hang. Then this season they barely get a sniff of the NHL. Doesn’t make much sense to me but I’m just a fan.

I think it sets a bad precedent for a guy to lose his spot permanently due to injury. That being said, even though Walker has improved through the season he and Edler both should've sat more to allow Spence more playing time. If I'm Spence and I don't get a legit chance to grab a roster spot next year I'm telling my agent to request a trade. He's done everything asked of him and outplayed at least 2-3 of our NHL regulars.

Faust mentioned on the telecast, at least as far as Bjornfot, was that McLellan mentioned he planned to play Bjornfot more, but the blueline has been healthy.

So it appears the plan was literally just to wait for people to get injured.
