Fagemo with his Second of the game. Vilardi with a beauty of a pass. Vilardi, Turcotte and Fagemo has been a really good line. Sloppy third, goals coming left and right. 8-5 win for the Reign.

Vilardi is a tremendous passer, on a two on one he almost always gets the puck through. He's been playing a lot better. Turcotte's been centering that line and I think Gabe is starting to adjust to playing on the wing. Hope he gets another chance this year.

That's why you can't give up on this guy. Gabe has one of the better shots and is as good as anyone at making a pass in the organization. Put him on Byfield's right wing and stick Turcotte on the left wing and call it a day.

Agree, if Gabe wants to get back up to the big club, I think he really needs to embrace the fact that he has to play wing. Turcotte does all the dirty work and it just takes the pressure off of him. Kid has great skills and we just have to be patient with him. I see the path of Kempe and we all wanted to get rid of him not to long ago but he fought through the struggles and is now a really good player. I see this with all three of Byfield, Turcotte and Vilardi. Only thing is maybe the Kings might not want to be patient because the Vets wants to win now and Vilardi or Turcotte may be part of a package for trades.

Let’s not overlook the hat-trick from JAD.

I think they either move him or he takes Lizottes spot next year, simply because it’s very quickly becoming times to make a decision. Before the year it looked a very easy call but Lizotte has really elevated him game this year. I was all for jettisoning him but he’s proven me wrong.

However JAD has quietly accumulated 14 goals and 26 points in 29 games which is impressive in its own right. He has the potential to be the 4C that chips in with offence so it’s another one of those tough decisions that needs making because they can’t leave him in the AHL next year.

How's Grans defensively? Big kid, still very young. I'm hoping he develops a bit of an edge to play a more physical style, but it doesn't sound like he plays that way. Good to see him rewarded on the score sheet more often lately.

In all honesty, f*** the vets… they need to learn to win with the kids.. the only add this team is getting is a vet LHD via trade and maybe a scoring winger via UFA this off-season

I’d love to see JAD on Lizotte’s RW, he brings energy, toughness and enough scoring to make that one of the best 4th lines in the NHL.. it’ll have to wait until next season of course but you’re right, they need to make a decision.. or maybe he’s moved at the TDL

FWIW, it was just *yawn* yet another pretty pass by some guy.

No question the skill is there, and he is absolutely adapting well to the wing at the AHL level, which is a great indicator.

I still wouldn’t be opposed to seeing him finish the year in Ontario, if only for the fact that with other (worse) veteran options on the big club this year, his deployment will be dismal and his leash short.

Finishing the AHL season with meaningful playoff games, coupled with an entire summer of strength & conditioning training could be a lot better for him that coming to the big club for 10 minutes of ice time with fall-down Brown.

At this point, Lizotte has cemented himself as our fourth-line center. He's been phenomenal. But this could be an elite fourth line:

Anderson-Dolan - Lizotte - Lemieux

That would free up Kaliyev to be moved up the lineup. I could see this lineup next season:

Kempe - Kopitar - Kaliyev
Moore - Danault - Arvidsson
Iafallo - Byfield - Vilardi
Anderson-Dolan - Lizotte - Lemieux

Yes please! Add a big, tough/SOB LHD and i'm soooooo in

I'm with you on this 100%. JAD has spent enough time in the AHL and we know exactly what kind of player he is. I think he's a perfect fit for that line. I'm also okay with putting Kaliyev on the top line, but I worry that he may not be a good fit with Kempe and Kopitar. As long as he can get to the open spots on the ice, he will have a chance to score.

What are you going to do with Turcotte, Fagemo, Kupari and AA?
