The only positive signing of 2016 was Campbell as a reclamation project. Purcell,Zatkoff,Seto were as bad a free agent group signing in Kings history, and all ended up in the AHL or elsewhere.

I would say the only player out of that group with expectations was Zatkoff, Seto wasn't even expected to make the roster. Purcell was a longshot to hold a space, everyone knew what we were getting there.

Funny that Zatkoff did the worst out of all of them. Or not funny actually

The Kings have loaned Damir Sharipzyanov to the KHL. He has two more seasons on his Kings contract. I suspect he is not likely coming back. He is not a very good defensemen at the AHL level. Did mix in an occasional big hit. No real chance at the NHL.

I agree, he wasn't very good. Also has huge holes in his game.

Not surprised by LoVerde leaving. Good on him getting an NHL deal. His window is closing. Big void in the locker room. Best guess for the next captain would be Sutter (if he returns) or Crescenzi.

I would assume it's a 2-way deal with a pretty decent AHL paycheque.

He would have stayed in Ontario if all the offers were 2 way contracts.
