Reign are dealing with the same issue the Kings have been lately with Roy and Walker out. The defense corps are not up to the task of moving the puck out of their own zone quickly enough or with A/B quality decision-making to enable their skill upfront to shine.

You can't blame them totally with Anderson and Clague graduating plus Bjornfot and Strand up with the big club, but it is frustrating to watch.

Also, they've now allowed as many SH goals against as they have scored PP goals in 4 games. That seems unacceptable given the firepower they have.

To not be completely doom and gloom, I will say they've run into some hot goaltending. Thompson, Dostal, and now Provetsov have been sharp, with the later two showing why they're top goalie prospects.

Most of our prospects were scorers in Juniors or college hockey...a lot better embrace 3th-4th line duty in the NHL when that comes in 2-4 years

Powerplay slingshot is vulnerable to turnover when so slow to develop. I hate it. We've got such talented puck handlers now, why have one guy trying to break into the ozone with four guys stopped at the blueline. And to top it off, they end up dumping the puck in anyway after the player breaks in by himself and no one is available to pass to.

Chance after chance after chance and nothing. Sheesh. Wiffing on pucks left and right. And Phillips is terrible.
