And Thomas scored in the SO too! And Lias Andersson sealed it, with one too. Lias now has 7 pts in 5 games.

Shootout - Ontario 2 (Thomas G, Andersson G), Bakersfield 0 (Marody NG, Esposito NG).

The legend of Akil Thomas writes another clutch chapter!

Andersson doing exactly what they told him to do too; go down to the A and dominate. 7 points in 5 games, and a silky smooth shootout winner there.

If Andersson's game could ever translate from the AHL (so far with ONT) to the NHL, he'd be good player. I suppose that could be said for a lot of players, but Andersson is a really good player in ONT. Fiesty with grit too. I really do hope he can become a solid 3rd liner for LA.

But I thought the Kings had the best goaltender development system in the league!?

It was always a myth.

Odd take.

Kings continuously churn out good goalies.

Ingham, their No 1/No 2 best goalie prospect, has played 1 AHL game. Their other top prospect, Parik, has been in the USHL.

Villalta is, at best, their third best goalie prospect. Berube, the other AHL goalie, has regressed horribly since returning from Long Island.

One of the reason goaltenders have found so much success with this organization over the last decade is because of good defense. Goaltenders prosper when they play behind a good defensive team.

Now that that's gone, the Kings won't be able to "develop" good goaltenders as often.

Just about any goaltender would be getting lit up while playing for the Reign right now.

That's true but they do allow quite a few straight up bad goals though that have nothing to do with coverage. It's to the point where it feels like every shot on net has a chance of going in

What's Cal Petersen, then?

Wow I turned it off when it was 4 to 1 and they came back and won? Talk about two insane games back to back. Great resilience and comback after yesterday's debacle.

Yes! Aki Thomas basically said "Follow me boys" and Byfield and Andersson said 'right behind ya!" Credit to Byfield as he kinda, sorta setup Akil's first goal and had a nice primary on his second.

Whatever disappointment the boys had from yesterdays debacle are gone today!

I'll re-watch the third period for sure still can't believe it I thought they were done for sure. Comebacks like this will build a lot of confidence moving forward especially after letting one slip away yesterday. Really happy these kids are coming through in all situations and will benefit their development tremendously.

That has to be up there in fastest natty?

Gotta be. Just over 3 mins but more than that, the last 3 mins of the game with his team down 3.

I know Byfield and Andersson are centers but if Wrobo doesn't go with a line of Byfield Thomas and Andersson next game, he's straight whack.

That could give ONT two very good offensive lines, but ofc Fagemo Eyssimont and Smith Pelly might be a disaster of a line xD

Sorry a little late I missed the game but what happened to Fagemo? Didn't see him at all in the third and part of the second if I remember correctly. I can't imagine it being a benching.
